I fell victim to the open great room concept. After living in it, I realize, we're all in the same big room all the time. Eating, watching TV, it starts to feel like a studio apartment. Fortunately we have a usable loft where either the kids or the adults can go and relax, change up the scenery. So it depends on your family needs. If you like to have it chopped up to give everyone their space then go for Messina.

+1 for multiple spaces on the first floor.

I keep telling you guys that the Great Room is fine... but you need more on the first floor.
