Saratoga Price Increase and Upgrade Costs

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
@irvine123searching

Yes, I believe that's them. Sorry, I don't recall what they ask for in deposit. We met with one of their consultants a few months back on a home purchase we fell out of, so we didn't ever get to the point where we gave them a deposit. When we deal with them again, I'll post about it here, but that probably won't be until we've closed escrow.

@irvinehomeowner

I wouldn't think so, but I'll have to talk to the HOA or look at the CC&Rs to be sure. I can't imagine they'd have an issue with it, but you never know.

@zovall

Thanks! I'd be interested to know how others handle that. In the demo video on that company's website, the "try" to hide the power cord under one of the slats horizontally on the wall, but it's still clearly visible.

Perfect!
This is exactly what I need for my sliding doors.

What is the advantage of having an outdoor motorized blind versus indoor? If you bother to put one outdoors, why not build a retractable awning instead?

The outdoor shade blocks sunlight before entering your windows so it will warm up your house less. It also takes up no indoor space and is out of view when it's outside.

An awning is a nice idea, except 1) it's much bigger and uglier while retracted, 2) it costs much more, and 3) we're talking about Irvine homes here where there isn't enough room between your house and your patio wall for an awning. ; p

Too bad that I have a french door, not sliding door. Or I would like to consider using this. I like the motorized one, but not sure how can we get the power outlet there.
