Yeah.... I'm just a sucker for pixel density.

The higher res the better... even if my eyes are too old to see.

I do hope Apple comes out with a bigger screened phone this year... even if it's still the 1136x640 resolution. They can actually go up to 1420x800 (app scaling issues aside) and have a 5" screen to retain their "Retina Display".

Apple's Retina Display isn't that impressive anymore. S4 with a PPI of 441 is hot now.

The other problem with Apple is software. Compared to Window's OS and Android's Jelly Bean (not to mention their new OS coming in May), iOS looks pretty stale. They need to really modernize their OS and add more features. One can only hope.

Problem is that they really can't "update" their software...it is built on simplicity and familiarity.  If Apple make any significant changes to iOS, they will alienate a big part of their base.

Shipments of the S4 supposed to be late April.

This is where Apple makes an announcement that they have an event in May... to keep people on the fence... heh.

As for iOS... they don't have to do anything drastic... they could make the app icons have more live features and that would be a dramatic improvement.

At 5" 326ppi is sufficient... iPhone 4 and up displays (esp on the iPhone 5 with the built in touch layer) are excellent, even compared to the higher res Android ones.
