I don't know where else to put this but thank goodness it's raining men on TI because I could use a man's help right now.

Let's take a survey. If any tall, skinny guys are here, please raise your hand. Where do you buy your jeans?

My boy, who just turned 13, is now 6 foot tall!, 125 lbs. (That is not a typo.) He only likes wearing jeans all of the time. He won't wear shorts. He has a 27" waist & a 32" inseam. Imagine what this does to the mom shopping for BTS clothes. I've been to: Levi's store @ Irvine Spectrum, Tilly's @ Irvine Spectrum, Macy's, Old Navy, Kohl's, Target, looked online, etc. MOST stores' very smallest waist is 28 (usually in a 30 length). However, 30 is the actually most common small waist size. 32 inseams are even harder to come by. When they do have 32's, the waist is usually larger EVEN ONLINE. Right now, we have a smorgasbord of jeans, one each from the above shops. The best bet so far has been "Levi's action jeans" from Kohl's. I got them in a 29x32. He wears them with a belt. It's a bit of a "lunch sack waist" but it's either that or have high-water pants -- LOL! I should mention we don't like the "skinny jeans" trend that is popular right now. He likes relaxed jeans or will do a slim cut if he has to but doesn't like them hugging his legs. Any tips are helpful.

My hubby wears a 30/34 and he has a lot of trouble finding jeans that fit, even with a belt. He NEVER buys clothes online because even that size might be too wide so he ONLY buys in store. He's tried everywhere and of all places he found some that fit at Sears.

He also has a problem with dress shirts because his build and neck are small but his arms are long. Last time he needed dress shirts he got them at Nordstroms.

It's hard to give advice without knowing age, height, weight and style but it sounds like he needs to check out Express.  They currently have 21 styles of 30/34 jeans on offer and they carry a huge selection of dress shirts from rather formal to business casual.  Some of them come in dozens of colors.  They have a lot of slim fitting products that could fit him well.  They have a store at Fashion Island and another at South Coast Plaza.  You can also try J. Crew but it's a lot more expensive and much of what they have is very boring, but maybe that's what he wants.

I let him do his own shopping and avoid getting him anything ever since he got majorly upset when I spent ALL my money form my donut shop minimum wage job that also went to paying for college buying him shirts when we were going out only to find out he has ridiculously long arms and he said NEVER buy me clothes again................. so........ decades later I'm still following his wishes.

I'll tell him about Express.

LOL!!!

He's not going to go for custom clothes, that I know for sure.

He rather complain he's got some weird sized body "no one else has" (which obviously isn't true but contributes to his having to buy his own stuff. Even my kids don't want to touch EVER giving him clothing as a gift).

R2D, just a thought. Since you mentioned he is thin with ridiculously long arms... consider looking into the symptoms of Marfan Syndrome if you haven't already.

Funny you mentioned it, I was thinking of Abraham Lincoln when she mention thin and long arms.

Yes and some believe Lincoln had Marfan syndrome.

He's not THAT tall, only 6 feet. He's always been thin but the process of moving was really stressful with both of us losing weight but I gained all mine back, he never did. He weighs 125, been to a few doctors who can't find anything to account for the weight loss.  (which I attributed to not eating enough and as I said he eats a TON without gaining anything).

When we put our house up for sale, we were also in the midst of my middle daughter's out of town wedding plans/event and he was in the midst of trying to get a different job locked down (after having his previous job for 15 years), his mom was diagnosed with cancer and died and my mom was put in a home. Just trying to get that big house cleaned up, ready to sell and move was enough for us, but when we added the others it was just too much I think.

Halal guys coming to Tustin legacy! Look at plan 3

Right, but those things don't make your arms longer. Disproportionately long arms is one of the symptoms of Marfan Syndrome.
