Reality Check for Subprime employees in San Clemente

I was on UI for six months back in 2002. I applied for a ton of 30k jobs which would've paid my bills at the time (and still might today if I ditch my wine habit). "Overqualified" was all the response they could muster, even for temp jobs. It's not as easy as it sounds to just go out and get a job during a recession that pays better than UI.
