Quail Hill

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I like the racial discussion! How does anyone feel about how different races or other demographic utilize the community emmenities for which they pay? Are the old white people sticking to the trails? Do the Asian college students use the pool most? Thoughts?

<p>I don't care what race my neighbors are. What I do care about is their attitude towards me and abilty (and desire) to communicate. If I hated Asians why would I be interested in moving to Irvine? Some of you ranters should actually read my post and stop being so paranoid. I appreciate some of the honest responses.</p>

<p>Presently I have Philipino neighbors and they are some of the nicest folks I've ever met. I'm going to miss them :(</p>

<p> </p>

How is the Quail Hill community like for single people ? I love the modern architecture, being close to freeways, beach (via 133) and the Irvine Spectrum. I'm looking at getting a condo.

<p>Wow, this thread is a blast from the past. </p>

<p>If I were single, I'd rent in the brand new IAC community at the Spectrum. Don't buy now. Wait at least a year, or more. Besides, if you are at the Spectrum you can just stumble across the street into your bed after taking on a couple pitchers of margaritas at Javier's. Move to Quail Hill after you meet your future spouse at Javier's.</p>

<p>Nah, way back when I met my wife Javier's was probably but a dream in someone's head. I was still trolling up in LA back in the late 90's when met my wife. Red Rocks on Sunset was my spot back then. Anyone ever been to that hellhole? I'm sure Trooper has had more than one police call to that fine establishment. </p>

i did this one day scavenger hunt race called the urban dare last yr in LA. i believe it was in august or right around labor day during the heat wave. the final destination was the red rock on sunset and boy were we happy the race ended at a bar. a good brew was sorely needed.

I used to live walking distance from Red Rock. . . walked there one night for a party, I didn't like the feel of it. That was just one more reason why I want to be in the OC.

Back to the Quail Hill Discussion!!!

Quail Hill is a fine area for singles. Spectum is very close. The central location makes it nice to go to the beach via 133. The Village across from the Spectrum seems to be filling in finally. 18 Months ago I thought about it but no one lived in it yet. Have a couple friends that love it there. As others have mentioned. Rent for a couple more years at least. The IAC has loads of specials on Cragslist. Just filter it and type Quail. Lots of vacancies in Quail Ridge and Quail Meadow. Good Luck and Welcome to Irvine.

I don't like Quail Hill and it has nothing to do with the demographics. Last month we went to two open houses and would have gone to more if the houses weren't so crammed in that it was nearly impossible to find a parking space. One house was unbelievably horrible. It was built in 2002 and the way the stairs creeked and the upper floor was slanted, I thought It was at least 20 years old. You had beautiful views of your neighbor's windows for almost 3/4 a million dollars.

Speaking of demographics, since when are Chinese, Korean, Japanse, Vietnamese and Filipino considered their own race? Why don't English, German, Russian, South African and Australian have their own race?

Anyone have any info on some of the higher end homes in Quail Hill. We are looking at 106 Luminous, 102 Ambiance, 122 Retreat and 113 Tearose but I'm hoping those will drop quite a bit more.

I think he's man bear pig. 1/2 man. 1/2 bear, 1/2 pig
