Easter does not fall on any given day but just so happen to coincide with Easter... not something Biden was trying to promote over Easter.

Even the CNN article quotes a senator who is a pastor:

Christian = Christ like, and Jesus accepted everyone, regardless of gender ideology.

Christianity is not about attacking other people or petty name calling... Christianity is about uniting and loving people despite their differences.

"Love your neighbor as yourself" applies here. Tolerating a persons mental illness derived body mutilation is not love, but the sin of omission - failing to encourage the person to get mental health treatment instead of accepting their decision to self harm.

Yes, Christ was civil to most sinners, out of love, but as John 8, v 11 says "...neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more".

There are volumes of genuine medical studies showing those who take the route of surgery and chemicals to try and eliminate their mental illness have such a higher rate of suicide it's practically criminal to not speak up.

I speak from the experience of knowing one F to M trans person, and what science is available today that speaks loudly against the practice.

Could the dialogue about this be less militant? Of course. That said, some people consider any mention of fact based objective truth as heresy, and anyone who speaks it are to be burned as witches once were. How the tables have turned.
 
I'll respin it... who are we to judge that it is mental illness? What you term as body mutilation can also be seen as reparation or restoration.

I'd be careful classifying something as an illness... we do all live in glass houses (which morekaos likes to preach but not adhere to).

Let's turn this to something morekaos has more experience in.

What is this chicken contest with the economy our prez is playing?

I keep reading so many different stories on why he is backing down, why he didn't fire Jerome Powell, how large retailers are influencing his decision, how the stock and US bond market is playing into it.

While I know people like morekaos are cashing in, what about the everyman? Is it fair to play with our investments and 401ks like this? What about businesses who have to close because of all this tariffing?

And what happened to ending the Russian/Ukraine war?

So much braggadocio.
 
How do we know it's a mental disorder?

1) No amount of chemicals or surgery will ever be able to turn a human male into a human female, or a human female into a human male.

2) Gender dysphoria was a recognized mental disorder, until only recently reclassified by the WHO

3) The "cures" fail on every level - they only postpone the inevitable - a recognition how terrible their original decision was. High suicide rates post "affirming surgery" is extraordinarily well documented

4) Pockets of gender dysphoria, not widespread outbreaks. Example? Charlieze Theron has two adopted children. Both are diagnosed with gender dysphoria. The odds of that happening cannot be calculated. Her surrounding circle of friends also have gender dysphoric children. Another pocket of gender dysphoric children is in NYC. It's as if having one is a status symbol. This is clear evidence of mass hysteria, a mental issue, not a physical defect.

I could name similar reasons why any political alliance is a mental disorder. Or even religious or agnostic zealots.

Have you told your trans friend they are mentally ill?
 
if your friend feels the need to cut off their arm in order to feel complete, would you encourage them to be their best self and hack it off? That’s an actual disorder, this isn’t dissimilar…

If I was asked to affirm their pronouns, I would not. If I was asked to affirm them as a male or female, when they are not, no, I would not affirm this.

Would I go out of my way and tell them they are mentally ill, no, as it's not a loving thing to do. After extensive conversation about why they believe their gender is what they perceive ( not what it is) yes, I would say it's a mental illness that is treated in ways other than surgery. That is the undeniable truth of the matter

The person with dysphoria could also be a true hermaphrodite and saying they are mentally ill without knowing their circumstances is bad for.
