Post what you are looking forward to here..

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I am looking forward to see the frantic Asians buying up phase 3 OF IVY in 15 minutes thinking that they will be priced out forever. Seriously, this is like waiting for the post office to open to buy stamps thinking that there will be no more stamps.

TIC can stamp out houses faster than the post office can print stamps and there will still plenty of land on the ranch for the next 30 years to build homes. What is the hurry?

I know Asians are supposed to be really smart but their buying frenzy is totally irrational. I do not understand this. It must be the lack of shark fin soup in my diet. I will go to Monterey Park this weekend and stock up my shark fin pantry.

Momo, any good recipe?

I got an idea - don't!

The last 15 seconds shows the cruel and inhumane way they harvest shark fins, and then happlessly toss the rest of the shark back into the water to drown.

Just say NO to Sharkfin Soup.

The key word above is "supposed." You know as well as anybody here that Asians, particularly Chinese, have a herd tendency. It is better to be on a long cattle drive to the slaughter house, than be the loner that got spotted by a lion.

As for the stamp metaphor, I think Irvine is like the first day issue stamp. It is worth more than the nominal value printed on the paper due to the the status of "first-day-issue." Quantity is limited (but there will be another first day issue....).

Besides the camera thing, what I'm really looking forward to is buying a home. As much as I like architecture and vintage homes the home itself is not my primary motive here. I plan on buying my home for all cash or close to it. I'm looking forward to the financial freedom this move will bring. I would like to still continue my career but on a probono basis. And I will likely have some pursuits to earn money but just not full time.

I have a big list going of things I'm planning once the financial freedom kicks in but I'll just share a few.

Would like to volunteer more financial planning services to a battered women shelters.

Plan on taking my kids on a tour of the country to learn about US history

I want to be involved in community redevelopment and preservation of Orange County's historical properties and neighborhoods.

My little brother's wedding rehearsal tomorrow and wedding on Saturday in which my kids will be the flower girl and the ring bearer. Things are a bit stressful around here though. I'll let you know if it truly was something to look forward to in a few days!

Aside from the big event, we are beginning the countdown to the first day of Kindergarten, eleven days to go!

1. Most definately the kids back in school - Can anyone say "year round school"?

2. Am literally counting the hours until New Moon comes out on November 20th.

3. My hair growing back out - should resist impulse decisions involving scissors in the future.

4. Going back to the gym and eventually giving the phrase "HOT MAMA" new meaning.

5. So ready for my youngest to be ready for daycare, so that I can go back to work.

haha, Solvang. Crazy town.

A close family member's wedding early next year. Halloween. The holidays. Cooler weather. And picking up something really special when it's ready in about 2 weeks.

2009 El Segundo Car Show. It's tomorrow, 8/22.

I have made the long drive to Cars and Coffee multiple times, and if I lived in Irvine, I would make the drive to El Segundo tomorrow. It is excellent.

I went. El Segundo is a neat little town. The mix of cars was interesting to say the least.

What farmers markets are you going to? Do you have a favorite? Farmers markets is where inspiration was born.

Before last week, I don't think I've been to more than one before. Since last week I've been to Irvine (Jamboree and Irvine Blvd, Wed AM), Irvine (UCI, Sat AM), Laguna Hills (Fri AM), Laguna Beach (Sat AM), and Hollywood (Sun AM). I'm going to Santa Monica next Saturday.

My favorite so far has been Hollywood because 1) they have space and 2) nobody is selling what I am selling and 3) the foot traffic is exponentially higher than all of the others put together and 4) it runs Sunday and I can keep my straight job. From what I hear, Santa Monica is supposed to be the best one. We'll see.
