Portola Springs fire

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
My kids watched the smoke and fire from the school yard which has an incredibly scenic view from high up on the hill, overlooking the great park and most of Irvine, all the way to Catalina. Some adult at their school explained to them, "Irvine is on fire." Being kids, they announced the news to me when I picked them up -- "Mommy, Irvine is ONNN FIRE!" but they said it all dramatically like the whole city was up in flames.. I know what kind of awesome view they have, better than from my house, so for a split second, they had me believing the city combusted. haha.

Where was the big big fire last time.. where OH is being built now?

The Santiago Fire back in 2007 burned areas of Orchard Hills and Portola Springs.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_2007_California_wildfires#Orange_County

That was a very bad year for SoCal wildfires and resulted in ~1500 destroyed homes and thousands of burned acres:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_2007_California_wildfires

As I posted numerous times in the past, building your home in or next to a high risk fire zone is a recipe for disaster. Buyers in OH, QH, and PS beware.http://www.talkirvine.com/index.php/topic,10941.msg210058.html#msg210058

even with Irvine burned to the ground, it would not help real estate values in Foothill Raunch

According to you, Foothill Ranch sucks. Tustin sucks. Pavillion Park sucks. Columbus Square sucks. Even Baby Irvine's brokerage sucks. South County sucks. Whites suck. Indians suck. "Amigos" suck. Gee, here's a thought:

California court is miserable cause he is a pretend baller. Let's say irvine was a bmw, it's not, but for this example let's say it is. He bought the equivalent of a 3 series (detached condo on a motor court) just to say he drives a bmw  he really wanted the 7 series or maybe even a 5, but just couldn't afford it.

this is from some one who cannot afford Irvine? lol

i can definitely afford irvine. im just not a sucker and think the IUSD is the path to riches for my kid. i got a much better house than 90% of things offered in irvine.  i can always send my kid to private school. I chose not to buy in irvine. USC trojan has seen my financials and how much i make. i can afford irvine before you even factor in my wifes salary.

good try chump.

This is "Talk Irvine" and "Irvine Real Estate" sub forum. Why are you constantly posting here and keeping taking jabs at Irvine? Don't you have better things to do? like a part time job to support your White husband because apparently he doesn't make enough money that his wife has to search for Home Depot coupons for half a day and beg on a public forum? that's pathetic.

you know this is endless debate. You can always find a much bigger house for the money elsewhere than Columbus Square. For those people you are a sucker too especially you have to live on polluted land. having money or not, that's just plain dumb.

So, to retrace our steps... everything I posted that you said earlier sucks, and now my point is further reinforced as you are including me, my choice of husband, his income, his color (which you seem strangely obsessed with), my interest in hunting deals. It all sucks. Hey, today is hot and windy. I bet that sucks, too. It sucks when it's hot. It sucks when it's cold. It sucks when it's windy. It sucks when it's not. It sucks when the sun rises. It sucks when it sets. There is one common denominator here among all the sucky stuff: You.

Feel bad for everyone that lives in Irvine/Tustin/FootHill Ranch/Bakers Ranch/Ranch Dressing... etc..... The breeze is way better over here in Johns Creek!!  ;D

Speaking of brush fires, here's frightening photo of the San Diego fire today.  The dark black smoke are from homes that are burning. :(
