Palin is a floozy. Daughter just following in mother's footsteps.

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Because as Donny Deutsch just described on CNBC:

<blockquote>"Women want to be her, and men want to mate with her. She's the ultimate Ronald Regan."</blockquote>

Erin Burnett went on to describe Sarah Palin as a MILF. Suffice to say, I was speachless.

I'll post the video clip later once CNBC gets it up.

In other news of "Strange Times leads to Strange Bedfellows", Dr. Laura agrees with me, but in standard Republican line of "Have it both ways", will be voting for McCain anyway.

<a href="http://www.drlaurablog.com/2008/09/02/sarah-palin-and-motherhood/">http://www.drlaurablog.com/2008/09/02/sarah-palin-and-motherhood/</a>

<blockquote>I?m frankly and sadly caught in the dilemma of having to balance policy versus example in touting a candidate for the office of the First Family. I was ferociously attacked (what?s new?) when I spoke out strongly against Bill Clinton?s dalliances in the Oval Office. That situation quickly turned into a debate whether ?private has anything to do with public.? Nonsense. Role models are very important. Children and young adults look to those who are visible and successful as a road map of what is acceptable behavior and emulate those actions over the morals and values their parents and churches have taught and tried to reinforce. It?s a tough go these days, when the ?bad that men or women do? is used for entertainment purposes without judgment, or is excused because of political or financial considerations.

I?m stunned - couldn?t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didn?t want a ?mature? woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?

Well, I wouldn't want to mess with Donny, but what woman wanted to be Ronald Reagan and which men wanted to mate with him?

From what I hear, her speech went over well with the base. I don't know about undecideds or disaffected Hillary voters.** I was working through the speech, so I didn't see it all, but I did catch some video snippets this morning off the LA Times website. I was *really* surprised the McCain advisors did not stop her from her finger wagging. I found her scolding to be very patronizing. Every public speaking training I've ever been to tells you to lose the outstretched index finger because it doesn't come across well. Oh well, since they had to re-tool the speech to make it more feminine and then have her learn it and practice giving it, they couldn't focus on everything.

But I do have one other question: Is Governor Palin a pit bull with lipstick or is she someone that needs to be protected from sexism and the press? The McCain camp needs some message consistency here.

**BTW, is there no greater showing of sexism than referring to all the male candidates by their last names and the female candidates by their first?

Why on earth would they want to do that? Why start now when "Having it Both Ways" has worked so well to this point? Hell, it's worked for 25 years!

Palin and her whole family is a BIG JOKE to America and it's people.

A daughter who won't keep her legs closed, a mother who was getting boned up by her hubby's business partner, the abuse of power towards her ex brother in law and just wait to the some of her other lil shady deals on the side come out of the Palin closet.

McClain has just shown why this nation is in the mess it's in and wants to give up 4 more years of it.

Btw, there's a term widely used to describe Palin and the family " Trailer Trash "

What I don't get is why everybody is so upset about Palin's daughter's pregnancy being made a newsworthy campaign issue. It directly relates to her ability to manage, be that a state or a country: if you can't keep your own family in line (whatever it takes, like discussing birth control with your daughters), how can you ever hope to persuade me that you can fair better managing the whole country?

I just find it repugnant that Palin was chosen over GOP hopefuls like Romney or Juliani or Huckabee, since they got millions of votes in the primaries already and whatever skeletons they had in their respective closets have already been taken out and examined by the public and especially the media.

I wonder how many votes would Palin get in the primaries, my guess is zero if all this information would come out the way it came out now: the firing of the sister's ex-husband, an alleged affair with her husband's business associate, complete lack of education (please, BA in journalism qualifies you to run a country? I'd like to see some grad school or exceptional business success for any candidate for the highest public offices).

What I found fascinating is hearing on John and Ken's show yesterday night that Palin only got a passport last year and traveled abroad for the first time in her life. Talk about broadening your horizons and so on. I don't think that anybody who sits in Alaska for 44 years and never goes anywhere else can safely say they know something about the world or, let's say, foreign policy issues...

Sarah, go back to Alaska, resign the Governor's office, and be a mom. Your family obviously needs you and you have a hard time keeping facts simple straight. The myth that working mothers can "do it all" is a lie unless your husband stays home and takes your role. I know several couples who do just that and thier kids are fine.</blockquote>

I don't think Palin will be a good VP but it has nothing to do with her being a working mother.

Working mothers don't have to do it all because it isn't a mothers sole responsibility to raise the children, is is a partnership between both parents.

Are you saying that unless you have the husband stay at home women are not allowed to have a family and work?

Mother and daughter, two for a quarter... But you know what, can't really blame them. What else can you do in Alaska besides getting your nookie on? Build snowmen?

Sarah Palin + five kids = Throwing a hotdog in a tunnel.

You are asking the wrong question. What is best for the kids?

I have friends that are both working professionals (one is a college professor, the other a psycologist) who have exceptionally flexable schedules, both work full time, and work thier butts off to keep a day job and take care of thier own kids (two under five) WITHOUT the use of outside child care.

If you can't replicate thier work schedule and want to have children...........I think somebody has to stay home. I'm not all about outsourcing the childrearing years of my children. You gotta do what you gotta do (the super poor come to mind) but most middle class Americans make lifestyle choices at the expense of thier kids.

I guess I'm old fashoned, but I agree with Dr. Laura - the kids come first, and you can't be there 100% and keep an 8-5 job at the same time. Running a state is more than an 8-5 job, she's doing a disservice to her family (who should be way more important to her than the citizens of Alsaka). In any event, she certainly failed to adaquately teach the birds and the bees to her underage daughter, and IMO deserves the title "Failed Parent".

YMMV.

[quote author="Shooby" date=1222829600]She needs to go back to Alaska. Just ask Katie couric.</blockquote>

I agree she should go back to Alaska. and keep an eye out for those russian Flyovers.

Putin? what's he thinking? stay out of alaska we bought it fair and square.

I don't think that either you or I or anyone else can judge them.

You have no idea what Palin did or did not say to her daughter.

There are just occupations that should require an above average intellectual capacity and Palin does not appear to possess that. Examples being, doctors, lawyers, scientist, and oh yeah let's not forget, the President and Vice President of the United States. Overall I agree, that Palin would be an embarrassment to our country as the VP

Anyone think she could give Bush a run for his money on stupidity if McCain were to croak?

I dunno, Bush is pretty dumb when it comes to non-scripted conversations. Palin has shown him tough competition in that regard.

If he is dumb he is dumb like a fox. I dont think he is so dumb. i think he lies and missleads.

How has the Oil industry faired in the last 8 years? hmm? What does the Bush Family do for work?

4. Former CEO of Halliburton and full time Piece of Sh*t.

-Corection- Haliburton got a Non-bid contract. Directly. That's against coorporate policy at my company. it's in the company Code of conduct. No favoring.

Congress did not have to approve it at all it just was?

and why do we pay Blackwater employees 450,000 dollars a year in iraq and army folks. less than 40K?

reminds me of the 800 dollar hammers and toilets during Regans administration.

This crap is not all a coincidence?
