That's daycare price in Irvine.  People are used to it.
Sad...

Huh?  I thought Ballsack said he only spends $1500/mo at Le Port.
Sorry, that was just a commentary and exaggeration on how expensive daycare is in Irvine, and they start off early with infant programs ranging $1,600+ and then annual dues plus other fees (some charge laundry fees for daily washing the crib sheets, and as they get older, they'll charge for meals, and then any extracurricular programs, etc)

It's about $2,000 a month for the top daycares (Le Port)...other places charge around $1300 to $1400 for all daycare or about $18,000 a year.

Compare that to San Jose which is $1800 a month, or Chino Hills which is $800 a month and Eastvale which is $700.

Beckman over Crean Lutheran definitely. Unless you have a religious reason for choosing Crean.
There are no really great private schools in this part of Orange County that are worth the tuition in my opinion.

The problem with the religious schools is the religious indoctrination. Won't be subjecting my kids to that, ever.

Just wait until they befriend some asian bible thumpers while in school.  Saddleback even has a branch at Northwood HS.
If you want to meet a lot of Bible thumpers, no need to spend private school tuition, just make the Woodbury Chick-fil-A a part of your weekly rotation.  Who knows, you just might meet that elusive Level 5 friend there.

I read level 5 and all I can think about is all these crazy Rodan and Fields consultants on my Facebook feed...

Yeah what's up with that?? It's like a cult of rodan and fields consultants that keep mutating and growing.

Rumor has it that Orchard Hills School will be converted from its current grades 5-8 to full operation K-8 beginning school year 2017-2018.

My kid currently goes to OH and even the staff doesn't know when/if it will ever be converted to a K-8. All the classrooms are being utilized by the existing 5-8th graders. Each year this school gets more and more crowded & I've had kids attending there since it has first opened in 2010. It could be years before it actually converts to a K-8, if at all.

If history tells us anything, that rumor is simply a rumor.  TUSD doesn't make these kinds of moves very quickly.

I agree- in order to downsize the middle school attendance to fit elementary kids into the school, they would have to go somewhere else. And there is no where else to go. Pioneer used to be the feeder middle school to kids in that area, but it is also at its Max capacity and even closed to transfers.

The Hicks Canyon principal, Cindy Agopian will be moving to OH this coming year. She will obviously have a good understanding of what the capacity issues are for both Hicks and OH. But I agree with most posters here. I am very doubtful TUSD will open the lower grades at OH anytime soon.
