Sellers can have selective memory so I'm sure many of them think the market is still like it was back in Spring/Summer of last year. The multiple bidding wars have come and gone (unless the property is priced below the market or unique).OpenSky said:USCTrojanCPA said:Funny how homes that are priced right go into escrow quickly, what a concept. haha Property looked like it showed well too which definitely helps getting it sold.jmoney74 said:Yup she did a great job. We went there and obviously there were people all waiting to see the home. Priced it just perfect.
It has become a very rare concept in this market. Sellers have fanatical expectations and are dreaming of FCB fairies that are somehow ignorant of the concept of ''value." The disconnect is large, and growing.
With so many aZns buying in Irvine, you would think a separate karaoke room would be in demand (maybe that's why the resale homes sell well).Coleman said:Around Christmas, I had some friends over with their four children. The four children and I were in the family room playing Monopoly while the adults were in the living room singing karaoke.
It's nice to have an area separate from one another so two activities can take place without too much overlap.

Thanks for the invite. :'( Now I know how IHO feels when you dismiss him from your life.
Too bad with the new open floor plans we can't have mah jong and karaoke in the same room. The constant "Pong!" "Seong" "Gong" may be a bit intrusive to the "???" playing in the background.
Kudos to those who know who ??? (Jacky Cheung) is, haha.

Shouldn't builders be adopting this type of setup? To me that would be a minimum for any home in the high 2000sft (and $1m) range, one extra space downstairs, extra half bath downstairs (along with full bath and bedroom), one extra garage space, and one extra living space upstairs.
I agree with this statement very much. I favor more individual spaces indoors, over a 'courtyard' look or just about anything else (except overall lot size, which is my admitted hangup and where I am willing to compromise most often). Believe me, I understand a buyer's taste can be extremely subjective, but I notice what I consider to be an inefficient use of square footage instinctively. When one considers price, even more so.irvinehomeowner said:To me that would be a minimum for any home in the high 2000sft (and $1m) range, one extra space downstairs, extra half bath downstairs (along with full bath and bedroom), one extra garage space, and one extra living space upstairs.
