If you dont mind me asking, how long did you have to wait to get a call from Santa Clara? Also, since the day you got on the list to the time you signed the contract, how much did the price go up?

Sure, it's around 2 months and that's surprising to me as well as I was told Santa Clara was going to close out when I sign a few months earlier. I guess Plan 3 has less people for whatever reason.
Santa Maria is like 6 months accordingly to multiple sales reps there, and waiting for it, again, could mean 30k-50k more than today's price if I wait...

About price increase I can say it's 10K to 12K increase on a monthly basis since January 2013. For Santa Clara the price finally stops increasing... as it's all sold out already and I think the model home will be closed for public as well if not already (that's already sold as well).

If someone found me a way, ill do it. Haha

Thanks for the info.

Now you're talkin'. Cash is, after all, the friendlier alternative to slashing their tires. It's gotta be one or the other.

Just want to drop my 2c.  I bought one of the last phases in Esplanade and was told repeatedly that the waiting list is super long etc etc but while the waiting list is long the list of serious qualified buyers is not that long.  For example I might have been on the waiting list in many new condo communities in Irvine and even might still be as I'm not sure when they take you off.

It's good to get pre qualified with their lender so you're ready to move ASAP and to be ready to give a quick answer once the opportunity to buy does come up.
