Noticed many new homes with gigantic master showers.  why?  Someone else mentioned the same thing in another thread, still scratching my head on this trend.  Some had dual showerheads (standard and overhead) but it still doesn't require that much room.  And the dual showerheads don't hit the entire shower stall so what's the point?  And what's the seat for?  shampoo bottles and soap?  I don't usually need a seat during my 8-10 min shower.

I guess you never take a shower with someone ?  >:D

married with kids...shower is one of the very few "me" times you get.  Sometimes it's just nice to stay in there a little bit longer to gain some sanity back.

IHO, it could be worse! You could get a 3CWG only to not be able to fit a full size car in the 3rd garage spot!  >:(  I guess it's a 3CW"driveway" and a 2.75CWG.  Looks pretty from the front though.

Likes:
New homes just have a new home feel or aura about them.
Larger closets with built ins
Stone driveways
Shower in the  middle separating his and her sinks.

Dislikes:
I used to like the large open "box" feel of the downstairs, however, the more I think about it, I like the idea of having a separate area for two different things going on.  With that said, I haven't stepped foot in my formal dining room or formal living room in quite some time, haha.  This will change when there is furniture there and we have kids.

No grand entry.  People view this as wasted space if you have tall 20' ceilings.  However, one can always add a loft if needed.  When I was buying my current place, we saw many houses that when you walked in they felt fine with a 9' ceiling.  There was no real issue and didn't feel too confined.  However, when you walk into a house with a 20' ceiling and a spiral staircase, it feels so much different.  Worse comes to worse, I can add a loft creating an additional 500 sq. ft or so and have the same feel as the newer homes with the lowered ceiling upon entry.

My last home (a rental) had the 20' ceiling and spiral staircase and I loved it. It did make it a pain to heat / cool the living room though.

You are not providing a good incentive for single guys like me to get married with insight like that.  haha

I like showering with my wife - if the kids aren't around.

Every shower needs a seat, not just for women to shave but men to scrub their lower legs and wash their feet (which can't be done well in a small shower).

I've never heard of this before. I just raise one leg up, wash it, and repeat with the other. You just stand on one foot. Just bend your knee. Simples. You're weird, Iho.

Maybe for someone with certain extra large body part, it's difficult for them to balance on one foot. :)

if you have a big enough body part it is actually easier to balance  :)

Like what?... Testicles??

big gut...

You sure he's not suffering from testicular gigantism?? 'Cause my husband has a "festively plump" belly (well-fed by yours truly, thank you very much, *take a bow*) and he can still raise his leg. He washes standing up 100%... feet, lower legs, everything. He's not morbidly obese, though... I doubt Iho weighs half a ton either.
