Luxury condos near Irvine's Diamond Jamboree approved

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I was commuting on Jamboree near that project site the other day thinking to myself, "wouldn't this traffic be more enjoyable if I had more people to share it with?" It sounds like this will wish come true!

But seriously, all this construction is getting out of hand...

Older single story buildings are being systematically removed and rezoned for higher rise apts in that area. I expect as leases come up it will just be more of the same.

Office Depot on the corner of Jamboree/Campus has a couple years unless their lease is bought out sooner until they come down according to the manager of that store (despite the city of Newport Beach (across the street) protesting citing traffic issues.

Harvest church moved from their OC campus because the parking lot across the street which wasn't used during services but was connected to the low level commercial buildings was removed (along with the buildings of course) for the apts that are going in.

Another church across the street from the Murphy St. post office was removed (along with other low level commercial) for the same reason. The postal workers "don't think" they will be moved but who knows?

I'll bet the Just Like the Model place doesn't have long till the bulldozers hit.

JLTM is a neat place for furnitures shopping. Although the price is not cheap consider it a used items

1.93 Acres and 120 units. Yes, it's vertical, but still high density. Assuming 2 cars per unit, that's going to require a 2-3 story parking  garage as well.

I also love the $2M bribe payment towards the City of Irvine's new affordable home community - Unicorn Heights - to be built just south of Munchkinland, but still only a short commute distance to the Emerald City....

HOA can fix and maintain the superficial appearance of a community. It can prevent it from turning into Rowland Heights or Arcadia. Property value will be protected.

Quality of life in a city could be both physical and social  environment. In Irvine there is just one. This is the very reason why you don't know your neighbors because no ones want to.

You mean Asian Central.

I just avoid that place.

You might as well get the heck out of California.

Put it this way, I was right that Irvine is turning into a full scale Asian city. There's nothing wrong with that. But when they don't obey the rules, throw trash all over the place, have no fear of the HOA, since they know the HOA can't arrest them.

That is worth it considering there will be a lot of maintenance that goes into maintaining a mainland-centric place clearly denoted by the developer's connection. Lots of sweeping, mopping and scraping unsightly things off the walls and walks.

Try going and live anywhere outside of Irvine, then report back in a month or two and see if there is such a perfect place or better place then we can discuss further.

Never been in that place but I do go to that post office frequently and every time I do, I think............ gotta see Just Like the Model before it's closed and torn down without any kind of warning. Probably be just like that church that was near it. Used to park there and walk across the street to hit the post office (seen way too many accidents in post office parking lots..... old people and Asians always in a hurry to leave, backing right into another car in a hurry to get that parking space as close to the door as possible). One day the church lot was fenced up and gone. Pretty soon a tall building sprouted. I thought they were commercial since that what was in that area but nope...... more apartments.

Bet the entire area between Teller/Jamboree and Campus/Dupont ends up being redeveloped.

Traffic, traffic. :(

Luckily I don't go out much during rush hour but still not a good thing...... an incredible waste of time sitting in traffic.

Yup.  I suspect (just a guess. hold your horses) that some of these (if not most) were just sold to mainland Chinese folks as a bundle.  I don't remember seeing ads, open house, or grand opening for the already build condos and see many FOBs walking to DJ all the time as I'm driving by...

If that's the case then jizz is right.
Gonna see bunch of nice expensive cars in that area.
And if they get there drink order wrong or takes too long at 85d expect them yelling and cash being thrown at the cashiers face

If one of those guys did that to me, he'd get a punch in the face.
