Some fool paid $925,000.00 for this joint. $541.00 a square foot!!! That is astonishing considering this property is not even on the water. That is a breathtaking 44% loss on 3 1/2 years. It is true that a fool and his money are soon parted.

can someone route me to the property shark site. i am assuming you can get public records with regards to 1st mort info. thanks.

my wife and i are looking at belmont heights and most people are still "high" and in denial that their home will sell at the asking. pride, ignorance, arrogance, etc. when the 2nd wave hits i think you will see a lot of people lowering their prices. 1st st is in an area known as bluff park. its a nice area but surrounded by a lot of rental/apartments.

Nope, it's the next housing bubble forming. Buy now before you get priced out again. haha

the home in lb doesnt seem to be in park estates with a zip of 90803. that is hte zip of belmont shore if i remember correctly, i think park estates is 90815. also there are two areas within 1/2mil apart which get confused alot, one is park estates, and the other is university park estates (cheaper homes). both have very convenient locations.

Redfin says this thing went contingent this morning. Go figure.

All this and...

I get to drive the lifestyle!!! Such a deal!

<span style="font-size: 13px;"><strong>"Range Rover (2000) 60,000 miles (in garage w/ flat tire) may be included in sale, depending on price. SELLER NEEDS PROPERTY SOLD!"</strong></span>

I had never noticed it before, but a reader pointed out this message that Redfin includes for short sale <a href="http://www.redfin.com/CA/Long-Beach/5571-E-Vernon-St-90815/home/7581480">listings</a>:

<strong>"This home is flagged as a short sale. We're sorry, we don't tour or write offers on short sales because of the slim chance that you'll get the home." </strong>

WELL THANKS A LOT, DREAM KILLER!

[quote author="morekaos" date=1245275853]So much for using Redfin to buy my next house as it will very likely be a short sale home...Oh well.</blockquote>
You can always find a realtor that will kick you back the same or more (not taxable) if you look hard enough or just have to your get own license. ;)

350 days on the market, asking almost a million dollars, ONE lousy price reduction of a measly 4% and you don't have the time to post up one picture of this trophy property? This is what "for sale by owner" (dunce) produces.

How much do you think it would cost to take down that brick chimney and put up something more proportional?

It was a converted foundry. Used to pour ship hulls there
