I appreciate posters here who are rational. Acceptances letters are not totally standardized. The process is holistic and some clear choices go out earlier than others that require additional evaluation. It am not an expert but could share that Georgetown acceptance did not come until 5/8 way after commitment date. College of William and Mary arrived 3/1, Scripps late February, Berkeley 3/2 and numerous colleges all scattered in between these date. The acceptance letters were dated all different and received prior to the the promised date. You have to know that colleges don't want anxious parent or students inquiring about their status by calling emailing and showing up? Setting an absolute date make a lot of sense to eliminate unnecessary nuisance from applicants.
You do know that I have a place in NYC and I am 3 hours ahead. The fact I know so much shit in your backyard I can understand why you think I am your neighbor.
I think some of you are a bunch of Salem witch hunters that hinder this site and causes stagnation consequently an echo chamber. There is nothing outstanding in term of information, insight and knowledge. Posting phase sheets and price lists will drive this site to the ground. Many influential posters left because this place is freakin boring because of you. I am glad that Panda is back thanks to SoCal reaching out to him.
