Locking threads

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I appreciate posters here who are rational. Acceptances letters are not totally standardized. The process is holistic and some clear choices go out earlier than others that require additional evaluation. It am not an expert but could share that Georgetown acceptance did not come until 5/8 way after commitment date. College of William and Mary arrived 3/1, Scripps late February, Berkeley 3/2 and numerous colleges all scattered in between these date. The acceptance letters were dated all different and received prior to the the promised date. You have to know that colleges don't want anxious parent or students inquiring about their status by calling emailing and showing up? Setting an absolute date make a lot of sense to eliminate unnecessary nuisance from applicants.

You do know that I have a place in NYC and I am 3 hours ahead. The fact I know so much shit in your backyard I can understand why you think I am your neighbor.

I think some of you are a bunch of Salem witch hunters that hinder this site and causes stagnation consequently an echo  chamber. There is nothing outstanding in term of information, insight and knowledge. Posting phase sheets and price lists will drive this site to the ground. Many influential posters left because this place is freakin boring because of you. I am glad that Panda is back thanks to SoCal reaching out to him.

I have a lot of respect for OSGuy. He sees his glass half full. His longest posts are about helping people and his shortest posts are disagreements. Some of you are exactly the opposite. he is someone I would love to meet and make friends with. I see that bone has very little patient to read my responses in 5 different places. Your accusatory attitude got to stop and you may need to find a constructive way to end your anger.

There's nothing wrong with this thread. Its questioning the credibility of another person on TI.

In my opinion, the story changed/turned multiple times.

You are another one. Unless you have physical proofs you can't just say the stories changed. Save your breath and do something constructive. The company you are working for is losing money on you right now. Rather than being optimistic and helpful especially the one who is an IVY graduate you are not fulfilling your Ivy mission.

Wow, this is not what a BB is about.  Lord knows I've had my run-ins with IHS and disagree with him on numerous issues, but to outright accuse him of lying and fabricating a story and letter is distasteful.  This thread should be nuked as well as the original IHS thread about his daughter.  Everyone needs to take a deep breath and re-evaluate their participation on our local board.

I agree... this is not what bed and breakfast is supposed to be about!

side note.. gasman.. you putting in any bids soon?

Different gasman noob

It's lunch time. ;)

Back to work Eyephone. No stealing employer time for the next 4 hours. I have to keep modifying because my post nazi is trying to limit me to one post. All of my daughters rejection letters arrived about the same 2 days around the college promised date. Colleges do send out acceptances earlier so the candidate could have a head start on research, campus trip visit during the Easter break and even earlier the better to avoid the crowd at the same time and actually see the campus with students attending classes rather than an empty school during spring break. The first letter received usually has the best impact to the student and family. Here is a rule of thumb: receiving notification near the due date is usually a rejection or a tie breaker acceptance.

Easy there now.. who said I was from Salem?

ugh.. is there another gasman?  I though gasman was bidding on new homes.  So embarrassing.  Now I have to lock this thread.. how do I do that?

For the sake of argument, let's just say the letter is 100% fake.

When your puppy poops on the carpet, do you rub his nose in the mess?

It won't stop him from having accidents. Instead, he will just be afraid and hide it from you, behind the couch, next time.

If you care about the person, consider approaching them in a way that allows them to retain a shred of dignity.

Hey I'm just trying to maintain the integrity of this site.

In regards to that:
http://www.talkirvine.com/index.php/topic,685.0.html

We ask you to refrain from the following:
?  Spam or warez

?  Impersonation of staff or other members

?  Information regarding minors

?  Re-posting of any information deleted by, or re-starting a thread locked by, the staff (i.e. ?Mod1? or Admin.)

?  Posts deemed NSFW

:)

I need to stop talking to and quoting myself. #iamfullofshit

So does this mean you won't stop confusing people with your screen name that is similar to mine?

Why don't you explain to the members why you would change your name from 'bones' to 'irvinehome0wner'? Seems like a questionable move coming from someone who wants to "maintain the integrity of this site".
