What?s your thougts on Kuzma?

I think Kuzma and Hart are better picks than Ball.

Hindsight is so easy.

Donovan Mitchell would be a top 3 pick... before Hart and Kuzma if we had a hot tub time machine.

I still find it funny that every year, everyone thinks the top free agents are going to be a Laker. Klay has said he wants to stay in GS his whole career if he can. PG13 is already waffling on wanting to be in LA. CP3 will be a free agent... maybe all those Laker fans who cried they got worked by Stern in that failed trade can get him back now.

Just trust #TheProcess and develop Ingram, Ball, Kuz and Hart... build it and they will come. :)

Yes Hindsight 20/20.  Agree Mitchell goes top 2 with Simmons in a redraft for sure

Regarding free agents, I agree that I may have "homer glasses" on when it comes to Lakers, but I think we at least have a decent shot at both PG13 and Klay as compared to previous free agency years. I never thought we were going to get Lamarcus last year or Lebron when he went to the cavs/heat/cavs

Why PG13? He's from LA first.  Did you notice that whenever OKC is in town, his parents are front row to watch him at Staples center, so family is key.  Plus he is a Kobe #1 fan and dreamed of playing for the Lakers.  He can't stop smiling with the Laker chants for him.  Then the tampering charges with Magic which I don't think are only caused by Magic's comments on Jimmy Kimmel.  Then never directly stating his intent in stating in OKC.  If OKC is beaten in round 1 in playoffs, I truly think we have more than a 50/50 chance at PG13 with the factors above.  Plus, I may be in the minority but I don't think it's fun to play with a Russell Westbrook (at least not in the sense of playing with a Lebron/Curry)... there's a reason KD left him at his first chance

Why Klay in 2019?  First, the payroll in Warriors is about to get insane.  Curry's supermax is about to kick in. Klay's extension is coming in 2019.  Is he worth 200 million?  Don't forget draymond is coming up too in 2020, is he worth $30 million/year?  How about KD?  He's going to want the supermax as well and can become FA in 2019 too.  Assuming something small like $30M for both KD/Klay, they are at $143 million without adding any bench and without Jordan bell's rookie extension.  Klay may be odd man out unless Lacob is willing to keep paying that luxury tax to keep the team.  Second, his dad(laker legend) is here in LA and is on espn 710 radio. I remember a quote of Klay recently stating he understands why PG13 would consider LA as it is home etc.

Now cousins?  Yeah no reason to come here unless he thinks we can win or if New Orleans doesn't offer him a max, which they should even if he has that Achilles injury.  Lebron?  Tear down his "I'm coming home" Cleveland speech to play in LA and make a space jam 2 movie?...maybe not, unless he knows PG13 is coming and is his best chance at a championship (odds are like 20% or less for Lebron)

PG13's parents are also in the front row at Clippers games, he actually buys more tickets when he players Clippers than Lakers (economy of scale). I remember reading that PG13 was actually an LA Clippers fan growing up and wanted to be drafted by them because he likes the underdog, and yes... he is a Kobe fan... but that doesn't mean he wanted to be a Laker.

As for playing with Russ, yes... it's almost like playing with Kobe, but at the same time, it takes pressure off of you, keeps the defense from double teaming you... and if you're having an off night, someone else can pick up the slack. That's why stars want to play with other stars... easier to win.

Klay recently said (and his father confirmed) that he would like to stay in GS.

That article also mentions the cap issues... but if you're really in it for the money and already have rings... why settle for LA if you can get more elsewhere? LA just doesn't have that draw like it used to and the last 4-5 years have proved that (although I'm sure Blake is hating it out in Detroit :) ).

How about Andre Ingram? He spent 10 years in the development league and he got called up for the last 2 games.

Great story and great game last night. Hopefully the Lakers sign him next year.

Feel good story of the year! Lakers FO definitely earned some props on the move.  Might even give us some goodwill in the upcoming free agency

The guy can legit shoot, the 3 blocks are just an added bonus!  I'm surprised he never got a chance in the past 10 years given he's been shooting almost 50% from 3 pt land.  I hope we sign him next too, but he might be maybe 3-5 years too old to become a starter in the NBA (think he's 32?) but he'll definitely fill a role as a 8-10 guy on an NBA team.

So I heard on the radio. LeBron and Cp3 might be coming to the Lakers.

You don't truly believe that rumor, do you?  There's also rumors of KD going to LA, LBJ going to the Warriors or Boston.  All of those are beyond ridiculous.

CP3 is staying in Houston.  LBJ will either be in CLE (on a 1-year) or Philly.  PG-13 will most likely be in LA.  Kawhi will be signing his supermax deal to keep him in San Antonio for another 5 years.  Demarcus Cousins is either in New Orleans, Phx, or Dallas.

What do you think about the Lonzo and Kuzma Feud? Lakers management is not happy about Lonzos ?s new rap about Kuzma according to the news.

I have to believe a line did get crossed with Zo's diss track.  You can't make fun of not knowing your biological father...way too far.  Hopefully management stopped just in time before it got worse.  I'm sure Kuz and Zo will be fine but it's a bad look if you're trying to recruit LBJ.  I don't think it changes anything regarding PG13....I'm sure he's loving this Lakers squad.  You see his pics with Josh Hart?

Why didn't they draft Liangelo?

The Ball train has fallen of the track. Lonzo not even best rookie on the team... Lithuania was a failure... BBB not shipping product.

Bleh.

I?m glad the lakers didn?t get Paul George. He is over-rated. He would have choked in the playoffs. Kawhi is the one they need to get.

not to mention the lakers got fined $500k last year for tampering and then PG apparently didn't even take a meeting with the lakers this year lol

I believe the Lakers let PG know that THEY were not interested once Kawhi showed some interest.  PG is good but not great and probably not worth a max contract.
