Can't Lonzo be "awesome" and the Lakers be bad at the same time?  I think Lonzo will be a solid rookie, but not "awesome".  10 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds will be his season averages, but he won't be playing big minutes.

Kobe's rookie year wasn't impressive either.  It's rare for a rookie to come in and have a major impact right away.  A few have done it - Magic, Lebron - but it's rare.

Is it just me or it seems like Lonzo is casually walking the ball up the court?

it's going to take him some time to feel out what he can do.  Definitely needs to be more directive.  What's hurting the team is our shooting.  We just don't have the threats.

How dare you? Lonzo will be Rookie of the Year, MVP and NBA Finals MVP!

#TWLS

(well... maybe every other game he will be good)

College has a 35-second shot clock.  It probably feels strange for a rookie to have only 8 seconds to get it across half court.

What?s your thoughts on Kuzma?

The bench needs Clarkson or else they have no scoring in the 2nd unit (why do you always end with a parenthesized comment?).

Good point I don?t know. (Haha)

Last night, I thought the Lakers were going to win. Then Luke put Lonzo in the game, and the tempo slowed down.

In Lonzo's one and only college year it was 30 seconds - but point taken.

Whoops... Shows how much I'm paying attention to college ball.  That's a good change though.  I've always thought 35 seconds was way too long.

I think the biggest issue with the substitution was taking out Ingram.  Lonzo going in was fine, but he subbed in for Ingram...should've taken out Josh Hart instead.  Thought we loss some height/length in that substitution

Lonzo 0-2 last night.

The 0 isn't as much as a problem as the 2, he only took 2 shots.

Sure, he isn't a scoring PG like many in the NBA, but if you're not a threat with your offense, the defense is going to sag off of you making it harder for your teammates to score.

Kuzma OTH is turning out to be a steal. The kid can score from almost anywhere.

yeah way to passive last night.. I think because they were winning and it was a close game.. he didn't want to mess it up.  Needs to just dribble in there and throw up floaters.

Fair to be concerned, but a bit myopic. They are playing well. They were tied in Portland with seconds remaining last night! The Blazers are a playoff team. I am shocked they're playing so well so soon.

Nance is now out. Next man up. Kuzma might get the start over Randle. Deng might see the floor!  :o

Lonzo takes what the game is giving him.  His mentality is to not force his shot.  As the others start to command more defensive attention, then Lonzo will have more open looks.
