One of these days I'm going to sneak over there and take pictures of the framing they started.

Looks more like where the guard house will be in the center median area--better to keep out the hoi polloi
[edit: Those guard gates don't do sh*t for real security. We just had a rash of car break-ins in NP recently.]

Is it going to be a gated neighborhood? I didn't think so...

Siena's will get a lot of 405 freeway noise and the rest of the homes will also not escape the road noise from the 405 and 133.ajw522 said:Also, Siena actually looks like it may be SFRs on a motor cour setup...or maybe detached condo. But I think the garage would have to be in the front, because of all the homes on the left of Saw Mill. Since there is no alley behind them, it's safe to assume that those homes will have frontal garages.

I know that I'll get flamed by IHO for saying this but I actually prefer Portola Springs to Laguna Crossing mainly because of the density and noise issues. hahaajw522 said:USCTrojanCPA said:Siena's will get a lot of 405 freeway noise and the rest of the homes will also not escape the road noise from the 405 and 133.ajw522 said:Also, Siena actually looks like it may be SFRs on a motor cour setup...or maybe detached condo. That's true...and also, I thought that if they were detached condo's with alley loaded garages, that maybe the garages were facing the street. But that brought two problems. 1) No one would face the front of the homes to the 405 and 2) That would be one heck of an ugly street having all garages.

Will you be drinking or "breathing" this soup?

I think the safe distance is at least 1.5 miles away from a major freeway (5 & 405); that pretty much rules out more than 50% of Irvine
Personally I will not trade my children's health for better API scores
