So to go along with SoCal's Pet Peeve....

Rainbow Loom

And not just for girls, there are tons of "boys" into it to.

i fixed that for you.

What's your point, Qwerty? My boys have Rainbow Loom but they aren't sissies. They are doing it because they want to get their hands on the bracelets that they see everybody else - boys & girls - with, not because they particularly enjoy the act of weaving them. Besides being gifted them by a friend, this is the only other way to get one. Of course, they've mostly "subcontracted their work out" to me now.

It's weird that the kids at an Irvine restaurant were not Asian? Yeah, I guess that is unusual, huh.

Here's something for kids who like Legos:

Ionix - Tenkai Knights

They are bricks that transform into mini-figures.

At ToysRUs and Target.

Tenkai Knights are on sale at Target right now... got some early holiday shopping out of the way at least for one of the brood.

My boys are loving Hexbugs. My little boy asked for another track for Christmas. He wants the "Black Hole" track with the free-fall so that's what he's getting. I honestly don't think it's worth the $50 but whatever.

So after many months of not being touched, I had to recharge the 3DS units because my kids want to play Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. They haven't this been this fanatical about a video game since Animal Crossings Leaf.

My kids' friends at school are carrying Pokemon cards again.

Pokemon is like a zombie.

saw the rainbow loom trend in full swing this wknd.  on three separate occasions, saw boys doing it at various places (restaurants, etc).  weird that i didn't see any girls doing it even though they were at the same table.  is "looming" just a boy thing or maybe boys are slow so they need to bring it out with them to finish?
Heh.

You know it's trend when the knock-offs start showing up. Went to a family partly last weekend and "Fun Looms" were being given to the kids.
