Irvine wannabe..?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program

ivcwannabe - Moving is a pain, and stressful. But, would purchasing a home right now be any guarantee of not having to move again?

"I guess I'm on to the game but the proper thing to do is rent/lease for now..yes? I just hate the notion of moving twice."

Moving is never fun, but if you aren't in a fully stuffed 4 or 5 bedroom, it's anywhere from $3k to $8k for a full service local move. You'll save that in a few months of renting.

"a 3 bedroom rental seems as much as mortgage these days"

Ummm... rental is about 1/2 the cost of a mortgage these days -- unless your mortgage is an Option ARM with a teaser rate.

sorry I'm used to paying $2K/mo. for mortgage payments for my place right now. What kind of place could I expect to rent for that much in/around Irvine?

I know that amount will get you a mid-range two bedroom apartment from IAC.
