There are real hate crimes occurring in Irvine, but I'm sure it's better than Costa Mesa / Newport Beach. Those uneducated white people are the worst.

Christopher Qu, 24, of Irvine was arrested on charges of committing a hate crime, felony assault and assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities said Wednesday, just before 1 p.m., a 16-year-old black male was waiting in front of Irvine High School for his brother to pick him up. Officials said school is on spring break, but the victim was on campus for sports practice.
As the victim?s 24-year-old brother drove up, the student was allegedly approached by Qu who was carrying a metal pipe.
Neither of the victims knows Qu, police said.
Unprovoked, they say he began using racial slurs and aggressively walking toward the student. The student?s older brother got out of the car in time to intervene but was head-butted by the suspect and struck several times in the arm with the pipe.

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-irvine-hate-crime-20170727-story.htmlA 35-year-old man is facing hate crime charges after he allegedly yelled a religious slur and threw coins at two Muslim women ? one wearing a hijab ? leaving a Target store in Irvine, authorities said.
Brandon Ricardo Pascual, of Irvine, was charged Wednesday with two felony counts of assault-hate crime with ability to cause injury, according to the Orange County district attorney's office. If convicted, he could face up to three years in state prison.
On the evening of March 1, authorities said, the women were walking to their car when Pascual pulled up next to them and yelled an "anti-Muslim expletive."
He briefly stopped his car behind theirs, which prevented them from leaving, officials said. After he drove off, the women left.
A few minutes later, while the pair had stopped at a red light down the street, they heard clanking noises against their car. The same man, driving a Toyota Camry, was throwing coins at them through an open window, police said.
