Talk about overbuilding... Traffic is already bad, I can only imagine with this increase in housing how bad Culver/Jeffrey/Jamboree/Sand Canyon traffic will be.

All part of a scheme to get people to pay and use the toll roads...which will eventually get crowded as well.

First thing I did after buying in Stonegate was get a Fastrak transponder.  With the traffic on sand canyon due to construction and congestion I'm starting to see on jeffrey, the 133 becomes a real option...especially since its only 85 cents to hop on at Irvine Blvd and get down to the 405

Construction is definitely ramping up on Irvine Blvd in anticipation of the first Great Park homes.  Hopefully that toll road will still be a viable option.

You can already see how bad Culver is after 5pm... Jeffrey and Sand Canyon will look similar.

It's called "progress".

The years 1970-2000 were really the golden age of Irvine.  Starting in the early 2000's the new direction had begun... overbuilding and postage stamp sized lots.

I believe in the Bay Area, certain bridges allow toll-free access with White (and maybe Green) HOV stickers. Not in SoCal.

I believe in the Bay Area you can drive in the carpool lane without 2+ folks in the car and any HOV stickers outside of the required times.
