Yeah, that's really weird. How did the package thief know that the homeowner just ordered something expensive? Enough for him to go through the trouble to make a fake ID.

A man outside both houses allegedly identified himself as the owner and accepted a package containing a laptop from a delivery person. Then the man took off.

This has been an on-going issue in recent years. Buyer orders laptop from Dell to be delivered by Fed Ex, driver shows up at the door with someone impersonating you with fake ID to receive laptop. Funny thing is the guy knows exactly when the laptop would be delivered to your door.

During COVID this was less of an issue as many people worked from home and would find it suspicious if some stranger stood in your driveway. But as people return to the office, thieves are back hard at work.

I still pay for a PO Box to avoid this kind of problem, but UPS Store raised the annual fee from like $200 to $370 (!). I will probably find cheaper alternatives for next year.
 
Yikes! You would think picking it up at the store would be safer. Someone illegally accessed the shipping data and made fake IDs. This is turning into a nightmare for SoCal Apple customers.

They are likely South American professionals targeting Orchard Hills. They use hidden cameras and drones to surveil a location. Scary stuff.

Are there many empty homes held by overseas investors in OH? There are some new communities that have a higher than average number of empty/non-leased homes compared to established neighborhoods. This factor tends to make the owner occupied properties more vulnerable because there are fewer people in the community to watch each others homes, have cameras, etc.

She was elected in district #2, but moved to district #4 after her election, and pretended to still live in #2.
She then voted in district #2 in 2024 which added more charges to her problems.
Seems minor, but I guess it's a big deal.

I think police should live where they work. But that's probably difficult to do.
