Nobody's mentioned this guy who has admitted to TEN residential burglaries in Irvine... and that's just in the past month!
Irvine Police Arrest Suspect in Burglary Spree
"Irvine, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2017) ? The Irvine Police Department (IPD) on Sunday arrested a suspected who later admitted to at least 10 recent residential burglaries in the City. Aspenn G. Jones, 18, of Rialto is accused of home invasion, residential burglary and other charges.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 3, IPD responded to a report of a break-in on Reggio Aisle. When officers arrived, they encountered three female juveniles who were in possession of stolen property. While officers were interviewing the juveniles, a male arrived in the area. He was sweaty and out of breath. A resident then arrived and advised officers he had just chased the subject from his home on Santorini.
The victim on Reggio Aisle confirmed that property found on the suspects belonged to her. In the case on Santorini, Jones entered the residence, awoke a female and demanded her car keys. She went to get the keys and in the process alerted family members of the intruder. The male resident then chased Jones from the house. Jones was taken into custody, as were the juveniles.
Once in custody, Jones admitted to the home invasion on Santorini, as well as a residential burglary on San Remo on Sept. 1. He later admitted to breaking into at least 10 homes in Irvine in the last month.
Jones was transported to Orange County Jail, where he is being held on $250,000 bail. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective Justin Brouwer at 949-724-7124 or jbrouwer@cityofirvine.org"
