Not sure why that particular intersection gets so many accidents but it's the one where the Northwood Cheerleader was killed a few years ago.

Hubby's car was totaled there in 2000. Girl who hit him didn't even remember anything. She forgot to turn her lights on (night) and ran a red hitting our car. Plenty of people saw the accident and not one person stopped to check on either car/passengers.

You know I never understand how people who just witness an accident can just drive by without a care. I feel irvine especially where people like to mind their own business but what ever happened to the good Samaritans?
Our hicks canyon elementary school just lost a parent to a dui accident (he was the victim) and when his car went up in flames witnesses even risked their own life to try and pull him out of the car. This was in the city of orange. If it were in Irvine good luck if anyone would even stop.

It turns out everyone was ok BUT my hubby was the only one in his car and the other car had two young people (18 I think........ brand new driver who borrowed her dad's car).

So........ no one else to back up my hubby's version of who ran the red and two people in the other car.

My hubby KNEW he had the green. He was POSITIVE.

My hubby checked on the other car's passengers and the boyfriend said, "What happened?" My hubby's statement to the police included their reaction when he checked on them.

When the police asked the other people what happened luckily they said, "I don't know". The police said if they would have lied with no one else to back up my hubby it's two vs. one witness even tho they were both in the same car.

They were found 100% at fault due to their statement (and they hit our car).

When my hubby went to work he was telling his story and one of his coworkers said........................... OH WAS THAT YOU? I was sitting at the other side of Irvine Blvd (with the red light) but I just wanted to get home so I didn't stop.

I can't tell you how many times I have stopped and left my phone number when I see an accident (even before this happened). It could totally change someone's finances to have a witness.

Even if you don't have time to stop....... just call the police and leave your number as a witness.
