If TMo reception is bad, you may want to try VZW although a bit more expensive (unless you have wireless phone service with them).

TMo has 15-day trial (also discounts with certain wireless phone plans) and VZW has some extras with theirs.

I use my phone hotspot when cable internet goes out so not too worried about that.

And I guess we watch too much streaming (Succession is awesome) so we are hitting our cap. Going to give one of these a run and then if okay, will finally be free from Co... uhh.. cable internet.
I'm happy with Google Fiber's 1Gbps for $70.

@Querty I'm confused.

$100 for 100GB speed+ $50 for unlimited data + $15 for an unused phone = $165

OR

100GB speed unlimited plan internet for $165.

If that's the case, why keep the phone? What am I missing?
I have $100/month for the gigablast plan + $50 for unlimited data. So the internet piece is $150/month. But the $100/month is because I have a landline, so the $100/month reflects bundle pricing.

So said another way I pay $115 for bundled gigablast service and a landline i don’t use. If I got rid of the landline my $100/month gigablast plan would go up to $120/month. In all scenarios the unlimited data add on is $50/month. So I save $5/month by bundling.

Do you mean 1Gbps? Because 1 gigabyte = 8 gigabits. So basically, internet + data for $150?

Right now, Cox has a special offer for 1Gbps plan at $65 for 24 months.
I’ll have to call them. I just checked their website and didn’t see the offer. A lot of the time those offers are for new customers. Do you happen to have a link by any chance?

It's on the website, but like you said, it's most likely for new customers. Perhaps that's why I see it and you don't see it. 😂

When I had Spectrum before, I would call them to cancel and the retention department would use some discount to give me a price that is almost as good as their new customer offer.

Can't you get A&T or Google Fiber? Both offer 1Gpbs at $70 standalone.

Once Google Fiber became an option, I dropped Cox as quickly as I could. The $70/month 1Gbps plan for Google Fiber has been working well for us over the past year or so.

Verizon Home Internet caps number of subscribers based on your home address. Probably trying to prevent local cell tower overload.
