Mikey really is my hero. He's a hell of a good player, a honestly nice guy, and terminally flawed manic depressive gambling degenerate. If I was half as good at slaying my inner deamons as Mike is..............well, maybe I am. I'm not near the player Mike is. But I'm not a degenerate either. That might be the problem.

Here's MSNBC's link to Ivey's tournament.

This link is better, including the whole craps table ruckus.

I'm with skekker, can't believe your hero is The Mouth. I can't stand that guy ! He's annoying as hell. :shut:

Last time I was in Vegas, I saw Johnny Chan and Fossil Man. Was kind of neat ! That's REALLY cool that you got to see and play with them !!!!!!

I got stuck for the trip about $500. I was totally on stroke and just ran horrible. After playing for 11 1/2 hours I didn't play a huge pot with the intention of going busto (getting cold decked) with the underfull. I was playing for the win, and would need those chips to get it done. So, yeah, I'm sticking to the 'brutal' theme. On a positive note, I never lost focus, never once tilted, and would of made my mother proud with everything I did (my play and otherwise) while I was there.

Matasow is a decent guy who only busts on people he knows. From what I understand, he's usually pretty quiet. He takes the beats personally and feels crushed when he gets unlucky. And he shows it. He also gets tossed in the Clark County jail from time to time for providing meth to an undercover narc who buddied up with him. When his medication is right, there's nobody better. Problem is, it isn't always right and when it isn't look out. A buddy of mine told me one time "What is it with you rooting for Team Blowout?" He wasn't wrong.

Mike is real people and he doesn't pull any punches. Just because he's my fav doesn't mean I'll be having him over for dinner any time soon

Dammit.

Matusow Takes a Wrong Turn, Eliminated in 30th Place ($193,000)

Right before the players went on break, Paul Snead raised to 200,000, and Mike Matusow repopped it to 660,000 from the big blind. Snead made the call, and the flop came A A 5. Both players checked, and the turn brought the 9, the death card, as far as Matusow was concerned. He bet 500,000, and Snead shoved all in. Matusow made the call and showed down A J for trips. Unfortunately for "The Mouth," Snead turned over A 9 for a full boat on the turn. Matusow needed a jack to survive, but the K fell on the river, and the biggest name left in the main event took a sick beat and made his exit in 30th place.
