IPOPers scored the hall pass for tonight. So, he will be there three hours longer than planned and tell everyone that he has to go every half hour, leading up to the time he actually leaves. Trust me, he does it every time, and I am shocked he got the hall pass.
 
I'm sitting on a plane at SFO, landing at LAX at 8:15pm....although I already had probably one too many at happy hour in SF, I'm going to try to stop by on my way home (maybe 9pm)...would love to meet a few more of you jokers...

Thanks for the brew brutha CK... Good to finally meet you and talk some West Irvine. I do miss my old hood!
 
So this time around I met more IHBers...



1. no_vas looks exactly like Ice Cube... and does know so much about so many different things

2. Now I understand the Graph/Cayci connection I keep reading about here (and Cayci knows her earthquake stuff)

3. bkshopr is even more awesome in person... in fact... his knowledge becomes WAAAYYYY more evident than his posts here... almost got me to fall out of my garagemance... almost

4. I still owe IPO some brew... next time, next time

5. Missed usc... did he show?

6. Finally met zovall... next time I need to talk to him more



Stayed a bit longer than I should have but it was fun talking to the different IHBers... even the ones who never post.

It was bad enough that we did not get any burritos, but you were a no-show for the first time. You got a lot of making up to do! A good way to do that is to show up to the Saturday Korean BBQ get-together on Saturday night. ;)

Sorry that I didn't get a chance to say hello to you and IPO, I was talking shop to Vas, Zov, and IR. Hopefully you can make it out on Saturday night.
 
Ohh forgot to mention, I owe ZOV and his lovely wife a dinner sometime.



He also asked if I might want to start pistol range adventure. Anybody up for something like that?

Likewise...you are all a great group, and it was great to meet so many of you. Hope to meet more next time. Two highlights for me:



- Getting to flash the LV wallet and keychain to BK --- when he wrote that "validation" thread so long ago, I'm sure even he could not imagine the true depths validation could reach...

- Finding two of you guys (who I will protect by leaving unnamed) who were game to do what I assume to be the inagural IHB Jager shot ---- as we were getting told they were shutting the bar down. Maybe we can get that logged as one of the first acts of the Irvine "adventure" club?

I hope to get by on the next meet up and place some faces with personalities. We are still in the process of moving this week and pretty pressed for time.



<excuse> We flew to Houston last Wednesday, packed and loaded our house Thursday and Friday, drove back to Irvine with a bunch of cats Friday/Saturday, slept Sunday and spent last night after work getting the apartment prepared for the moving truck that arrives tomorrow. </excuse>



Glad to see it was all good last night.

I suppose as long as you aren't sipping on Cosmos or Apple Martinis (beer and Jaeger were a nice counter measure) the wallet will be allowed...



Please keep it hidden or at home on all trips to the gun range, Mission Motorsports, Home Depot, and any live sporting events with the exception of figure skating and badminton.

What was funny was when IR was trying to tell me who was who... bkshopr was easy... but I when it came to Graph, no_vas, blackvault and some others... I kept asking Larry "Who again? Wearing what?"



And despite Graph's online grouchiness... he is quite amicable in person... or is that just a result of the Cayci Effect?

CK is an egg. White on the outside but totally yellow inside. His wife and in-laws totally indoctrinated him. LV accessories and wrestling for the bill at Chinese restaurants.
