If anyone is interested, PM me... I am starting to unload our excess corporate gear.</blockquote>

Do you have anything that's not so obsolete? I'm always interested in more computers.

Not laptops. Those are my newest. Some newer desktops (Optiplex) and probably some servers too... A lovely Toshiba phone system as well.

I'm not really interested in laptops. I just got a new one last month that should keep me happy for a while. What do you have in the way of servers?

Couple of HP ML350 G4's, a Dell PE 2600, and a Dell PE 2950 that has never even been put into service before. The 2950 is a nice unit. Bought it in early 2007 for almost $5K. Might keep that one since the warranty goes for a couple more years. Just don't want to go through the hassle of moving to it when my existing ML350 is doing just fine.

Winex,

I do have a server that i am no longer using since i now fully outsource my servers. The server i have is HP ProLiant DL 360 and it comes with SQL Server 2000. The Server is practically brand new. PM me if you are interested.

IPO, the ML350 and PE 2600 are a little old for my tastes. The 2950 is somewhat interesting for a two year old machine. Does it come with both processors? How fast are they? How much disk? (Also, are they SCSI or SATA?) Video doesn't matter much to me on a server, and I assume you just have the integrated ATI video card. (Although I'm not exactly crazy about the idea of running an ATI card on a machine that will be a Linux box)

What would you want for it?

Panda, same questions. The DL360 is somewhat interesting. But I have no interest in your SQL Server or Windows licenses.

I need to confirm specs, but I think the 2950 has twin Xeon 5110 1.6GHz procs with 4mb caches running at 1066Mhz. 4Gb of memory for sure and 5 73Gb 10K SAS drives. No idea what they are going for now. I'm watching a couple of similar eBay auctions to get a handle on market value.

The old MLS are only going for $300-500. Amazing how quickly hardware depreciates...
