<p><em>"it keeps me happy knowing that these idiots can't possibly put these shread back together".</em></p>

<p>Yep, Bix. I did a search warrant on a meth pad about 5 years ago and inside on the coffee table was just such a situation. The paperwork (bank statement) was about half done and the trash bag was sitting on the floor next to the table. It hadn't been shredded, just ripped up by hand and this tweeker had nothing else to do during his 72 hr. binge....and there were some tiny pieces to this document. Tweekers stay up for days at a time and fidget with little projects that they usually never finish (fixing t.v.'s, stereos, car engines, etc.). Dumpster diving for financial documents is a favorite...stealing mail is another....so get a locking mailbox.</p>

<p>Zov, make sure it's a cross-cut shredder....the basic single cut ones don't do a good enough job. And if you all don't want to buy one, and you insist on ripping stuff up by hand...try and place half of the ripped up document in one trash bag and the other half in another. They will actually steal a whole bag and sort through the thing...gross, but true.</p>

<p>How about <a target="_blank" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1_uvM-5xKs">this one</a>?</p>

<p>Does <a target="_blank" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSMHijhFjdU&NR=1">paper</a>, too!</p>

When I used to live in Placentia, my HOA insisted on using some flimsy non-locking mail boxes for everyone. After a while I gave up trying to convince them to change, so I re-directed all my mail to a PO Box at the UPS store near my work.

Then I moved a few times, and realized the benefits of having a "permanent" address. LoL. You don't have to call everyone to have your mailing address changed.

Unfortunately, some government and financial organizations refuse to accept UPS store address. But they'd accept an oversea postal address. O.O? What's stopping me from using a PO Box in East Asia?

Nothing is stopping you, but I wouldn't. Although we don't know all the criteria for getting on the government's "special lists," I would venture that that is one of them.

<p>This is what I use...</p>

<p>So the shread size is .8mm by 5mm. It only shredds a few sheets at a time, but like I said... it is pretty much mulched. But i've been lucky and I encourage my wife to be more careful and shread the crap out of everything!</p>

<p>Anyways good luck</p>
