Im kind of skeptical. A couple years out of college and you can afford a 2 million dollar home. On top of that, pay all cash. It is the Internet, so I guess you can say anything. But it doesn't mean I believe it.

First post goes on about how she put down a deposit in HC but is thinking of OH as well but never went to see the models. Uh huh. Not a smart cookie deciding on one multimillion dollar place while not even checking out the rest on her short list.

Then there is the location of the two places. Most people put location (to the particular schools they want, distance to work) as something they look for but HC and OH aren't even close.

Didn't believe a word Mrs. Phillips had to say from the first post.

well, considering opinions and "beliefs" arent what puts money in my bank account, thats not a huge concern of mine. however, since its such a concern...
my husband is an entrepreneur (as were both of our fathers) and a venture capitalist so, we are blessed to be able to afford a lot of things, 2 million dollar home included. And before the "daddys money" comments come, my husbands father left my husband about a million dollars when he passed 5 years ago so do the math.

second, i was unaware that it was illegal to see another community, look at the floorplans and pictures and say "hey, im possibly interested in this, let me go take a look and see if its worth considering" but if it is, my deepest apologies *eyeroll*

third, as far as location, my husband works mostly from home, and if he does have to travel its either to LA which i am not moving to, or somewhere he has to hop on a plane to get to. and I only work one day a week which is in irvine. as far as schools, my mother is the director of a private school out here so im not at all concerned with school zones.

not getting another ID, not trying again. hope that helps you all sleep a little better ;)

It's only natural to hate on people buying $3 million dollar houses with all cash...and under 30 is the cherry on top!

But what did you expect when you put this poll up?  Did you think the ultra competitive people of Irvine would not have changed it to a dick measuring contest?  You knew this would happen..you just wanted to watch...

I purchased my first home when I was 24 (a month before my 25th birthday) in Lake Forest. It was a Single Family Detached at 1700 sq ft. I sold this property in Feb 2015 and I am currently evaluating the local market as I rent an apartment in Newport Beach.

Real Estate is a huge passion of mine  :)

A few weeks past my 22nd birthday. Interest rates were 13%. Prayed I would pass the BRN license exam and get my RN license. Had no plan B if that didn't work out. LOL!
