instead of a cleaning service, hire an individual if you are looking for something weekly or more frequent.  we were quoted $200 for deep cleaning for 6/5 house and while they did an amazing job and had 4 people here for 4 hours, we wanted it cleaned every week and they would only go down to $150 per week.

instead, we went to a few employment agencies in santa ana and ended up hiring a person for $10 an hour.  they do 20 hours at our place and 20 at our friends place and while we are paying more than the $150 per week, our place is always clean and we get much more than just what the cleaning service provides.  for example, deep appliance cleaning once a month, windows once a month, sweep backyard and vacuum patio furniture once a week, vacuum cars once a week, etc.  there is some training involved as they are professional maids but most of the people looking for work have some cleaning experience.  also you have to have all the supplies

we had an amazing person for over a year but she moved from santa ana to moreno valley so we are back at agencies now.

True true, I am over-paying in the grand scheme but mine is licensed and bonded tho.

Debating whether or not to go the NOT licensed and NOT bonded route.

Anyhow I'm in the interviewing process right now.  Time will tell.  :D

ZeroLot,

Ok, unlike Ps9, you are now paying too much for $100 every other week for a 3 bed / 2.5 bath. :)

So have TI folks compiled a list of trust worthy cleaning folks?  I'm feeling the need to bite the bullet and go in this market.

Yes, I'd like to see this list too.  I currently have a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath and I'm paying $100 every other week.  Also the cleaning crew wears their shoes while their inside my house so that to me defeats the purpose.

I'm looking to switch.

After all this discussion, I was hoping someone would post some recommendations for house cleaners. If anyone has any info they can share or PM, it would be greatly appreciated.

Judy's house cleaners do an excellent job 1 (714) 549-7864

They clean my 3000sqft home - 4 hours with 2-4 girls, they clean everything and charge me $150. Try them out. I've used them for 2 years now. They come every 3-4 weeks and we maintain in between.

I used some other cleaning service that charged per hour. And they scratched up my stainless steel refrigerator - horrible.  Judy's has been no issues ever

I too am looking. Our current cleaners used to charge $110 every other week for 2,000sq ft. Now they're increasing their rate to $135 for 3,000 sq ft. I got a quote too for $70 but without references I'm not so sure.

I'm open to recommendations too. I think my cleaners charge more because of travel time. Anyway, GH thinks it's ok considering they've cleaned for us for almost 3 years now and have never stolen/broken anything. But if there are others nearer to Irvine and wouldn't charge as much, I'm open to those too.

I pay $100 for every 2 weeks for a 3000ish sf house. Although with most cleaning services - they really care about bathroom count more than the square footage. Anyway, my rate is pretty low bc I've been with them for 4+ years. I think your $135 rate is not bad. Not sure how much better you are going to do. I would prob keep them if they have your trust which to me is the #1 thing especially since they are working in your home.
So are they a service?

Can you post their contact info or are you afraid you might IHO someone? :)

Guess I just want to check what's out there. I've been using them for 3 years now, and once a year i pay them extra to clean the windows. If i could get the same service for less, I would definitely try it out. If not, I agree with you though, trust is most important.
