Great Park neighborhood seems to be making some progress !

"the only master-planned community adjacent to the Orange County Great Park"

Actually, that would be Woodbury East.

5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms.  Sigh, I miss the McMansion days.  Buyers today are getting bent over and taking it.

Welcome to TI deep9... since your first post is about a Lyon home project... can I ask if you have any relation to it?

That is known as the test test. :)

I moved to Irvine last summer.  I was expecting GP to launch their project with better plans /space than IP.  I hope to buy a home in Irvine in the next 6 months.

NO, have nothing to do with Lyon or any other home builder.

"the flexibility of a bonus room in select plans and the convenience of extra-large garages. The presence of wide, comfortable rear yards will offer families the ideal setting for outdoor dining, entertaining and playing"

This sounds promising. I look forward to seeing homes with real yards. Hopefully they can keep the price reasonable as well.

"The presence of wide, comfortable rear yards"

Is that the consolation prize for living on a superfund? Or is it just to cap the number of participants involved in a future class action lawsuit?... larger lots, fewer owners to deal with.

So the question came up while talking to a neighbor. What's the best place to live in Irvine? Where there are no disclaimers, and fine print, the bidding starts at a million for an old house. Where everything looks good to buy a beginner home, there are so many things to worry about. Please don't say Tustin Ranch and Foothill Ranch ;-)

Quail Hill.

+1. Haven't heard any 'story' about Quail Hill yet. Land/ air/ house- all good I suppose.
The knocks on Quail Hill are the proximity to the 405 and the powerlines on the east side.

By the way... that reminds me, is Laguna Altura built on the old gravesite of Frasier the Lion (from the Lion Country Safari)? Do the residents hear a ghostly roar periodically?

The best part of banging your head against a wall is the feeling you get when you stop.

That part is done..Now the question is where to fall so that we don't get hurt more :P
Did you see IHB post yesterday about "certified pre-owned home" ?

Turtle Rock is the best hood. only downside is probably lack of cell reception

Landings I and Landings II in Woodbridge, with the exception of the house someone was murdered in and Larry Ford's old house on Foxboro.

What about the TCE plume?

What about the TCE plume?

TCE plume is of "concern" only in the northeast quadrant of Woodbridge.

The plume magically stays "contained" in the northeast quadrant of Woodbridge, even though it flows SOUTHWEST from its source in El Toro.
