While I probably won't impress any of the Real Housewives of OC by saying I shopped at Living Spaces, I probably also won't have any of them over to dinner, either. While they have some low end stuff, we were very pleasantly surprised with their nicer quailty lines.

My wife and I were just looking for nice, but relatively inexpensive (better than Ikea, much cheaper than Ethan Allan) family-room furniture in the last week. Our favorites (Wickes, Krause's) were also gone. After lots of web browsing and walking around, we also ended up with Living Spaces. In fact, the furniture should be delivered tomorrow.

Cool thing about Living Spaces: we're getting the furniture delivered today. In addition to calling us last night to give us a 2-hour window, I just got an email from them with a link to their delivery website. It shows all the scheduled deliveries for the truck with our stuff and shows the status of each!

Yah, I did that last weekend. My window was first 2-6pm, narrowed down to 4-6pm with an email at 3pm. Well, long story short, they showed up at 10pm. TEN PM!!!!For real.

They have a nice showroom and you can get PotteryBarnesque furnishings for less.

We will probably order from them once we move.

We have purchased ALL of our furniture from Comforts of Home. And many of our friends (and then their friends) have too. I would say that it is not for the Living Spaces/Wickes/Levitz type of customer though. My husband and I went there and (no offense)I thought all they had was junk.

We wanted more of the Pottery Barn & Restoration Hardware type of stuff and thats what they have! And they are definitly cheap as far as price. There is one drawback, you need to order a lot of stuff so it takes a few weeks, but who cares if you save $$$.

I would definitly recommend them!

Thank you both! After weeks of looking at Crate and Barrel, Z Gallerie, Living Spaces, and many more, we finally went here. We found amazing furniture! They have so many choices, and are so knowledgable. The only drawback is the waiting time, and that (with all the catalogs and color and style options) the choice can be overwhelming due to so many options. We will definitely go back for more in the future.

For anyone that likes the PB and/or Restoration Hardware furniture, Urbanism is a good place to check out. We have found a couple of pieces at PB that we liked (my son's bed for instance) and purchased almost the exact same pieces through Urbanism at 30-40% less.

Second that. Urbanism rocks.

I had to find out what "bonded leather" was:

http://www.furnituretoday.com/article/44760-Bonded_leather_making_headway.php

Sounds interesting. If it holds up better than leather wear and stain-wise but retains the look and feel... it would be good for kids.

I didn't like our leather couches when we first got them (got them at Living Spaces because we wanted immediate delivery and were wary of others stores closing while our furniures was "on order") but after a few months, they have worn pretty nicely and are more comfortable than when brand new. Reminds me of when I first got a baseball glove as a kid.

I think for leather you have to see the actual couch... not many stores around that have that many in-showroom leather nowadays... so for that I would recommend Living Spaces... even Easy Life or the Ashley store in Fountain Valley.

After a year of breaking it in, lazy afternoons often include naps on a lighter version of this:

I can't wait for baseball season.

I am taking back my recommendation for now... As you can tell by my last post, I left Comforts of Home as a satisfied customer. I have since recieved my order... The furniture is nice quality, but simply not what I ordered. When paying close to $4000.00 and waiting for 6 weeks to receive items, I would expect to recieve the correct order. My disappointment / anger is almost overwhelming. To wait for so lobg, living out of boxes and finally get dressers that are the wrong styles is to say the least, quite frustrating. I'm waiting to hear from them on Monday...

Just an addition to my note, in case some wonder-- I would never have signed for the furniture if I had been here, I would have sent it right back on the truck. I was in Orlando for business, and my husbad signed--he did note on the form that it appearred incorrect, but was waiting for me to see it. He also signed for the couch almost 2 weeks ago, that has the incorrect color nailheads. I questioned the store owner MANY times, confirming my nailheads would not be brass (he didnt have a sample) I was assured "absolutely not" guess what?! yup--brass. I was so disappointed but didnt make a huge deal because I thought they were nice people, and I was happy to finally have sofa's, now that I see the other careless mistakes in my order, I am no longer willing to deal with the wrong color nailheads... Sorry to rant and vent, but I know my previous post declared my positive feelings about this store, and I recoomended others check it out. I didnt think it was fair to keep that up, and not let others know that I paid alot, and waited over a month for incorrect pieces.

I will, of course, post if and when this is resolved. Hopefully they will do the right thing, and get us what we ordered in a timely manner with some compensation for the time we have spent living out of boxes while waiting for incorrect pieces.

We nearly ordered a sectional from them. but it was very frustrating just to get a quote. We were there for a long time, and they kept telling me they will be with us soon. 40 mins later, we left.

We did get a quote later from them over the phone. But the numbers didn't seem to be right. It took me a while to question them in detail before he realized that he quoted me the wrong price.

They told me it takes them less then 4 weeks for the furnitures. We might still buy from them, but I am not comfortable in paying them upfront (even 50%) given the current environment.

So many things can go wrong with ordering a sofa, I'll never order another sofa again. I ordered on sofa with the premium leather and the sofa I got was DEFINITELY a cheaper leather in a different shade and a much softer to the point of uncomfortably soft stuffing, but how could I prove it, they just say it's the natural variation of the leather and no refunds/exchanges once I signed for it. The best sofa I ever bought was off a showroom floor that I sat on and felt so comfortable right away. The stuffing was just right and the leather was high quality.
