Disney?s California Adventure loses Electrical Parade to Florida?s Magic Kingdom
Less than eight months after the debut of the new and improved Electrical Parade at Disney?s California Adventure, the popular attraction is being boxed up and shipped to the Magic Kingdom.
The long-running parade will reclaim its former name, the Main Street Electrical Parade, when it premieres in Florida in June.
No word yet on if the parade will ever return to California. California Adventure is expected to debut the new World of Color nighttime show this spring.
Disney heralded the return engagement of the Electrical Parade to California Adventure in June 2009 as part of the Anaheim resort?s Summer Nightastic promotion.
The latest incarnation of the venerable parade had Tinker Bell taking over the lead float position from the Blue Fairy and featured the return of the mothballed Snow White and Pinocchio floats. Other improvements included upgraded audio of the classic theme song and a sprinkling of ?pixie dust? lighting on all the old floats.
