NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I like to share a story where the fake financial guy bashed Popeyes because his best friend owns a foreign owned chicken place. He bashed the marketing of Popeyes ideas. What a great guy!

How is the chicken with rice concept doing in the US? Not so well.

To be fair, the Jollibee's in Tustin always has a line out the door during this Covid crisis (I see it on my way to qwerty's favorite Taco Bell)... haven't seen that at KFC (but have at Popeye's).

Maybe when you go. But when I drive by that location. I do not see that.

Prepandemic the other restaurants near by were packed near by: Taco Bell, habit and Panda

Also, across the street in out, and chickfilet. Come on how can you compete?

Jollibee's has a strong ethnic customer base (Filipinos) and frankly, their quality is better than KFC these days.

But the sales compare to KFC does not show that. I even know a Filipino that does not even like it. Lol

KFC operators inherited 7 decades of advertising and mass market appeal.  But the quality is not what it was.  In contrast Chic-Fil-A has managed to maintain their quality better.

The numbers do not lie. There is a difference between solid evidence such as sales numbers and folks tale.

Where are you pulling annual store sales figures for Jollibee US franchises?

how dare you question the all-knowing eyephone

I'm not really sure why we are discussing this but...

The new stores are part of the brand's plans to grow to 150 stores in the U.S. by 2023. Jollibee Pinellas Park and Jollibee Maui are the 40th and 41st stores to open in the U.S. and arrive on the heels of the brand's recent entrance into Arizona and further expansion across California. 2019 marked a record year for Jollibee in the U.S., as the company experienced unprecedented growth, outpacing the growth rate of the U.S. restaurant industry and exhibiting consistent double-digit growth in terms of same-store sales and profits. The company also opened the doors of its new North American headquarters in Los Angeles, California to accommodate its growing workforce and help meet its expansion goal in the U.S.

I?m looking at the global sales for Kfc vs jollibee

He has built a wonderful world wide franchise...

Jollibee Foods Corporation is one of the largest and fastest growing Asian restaurant companies in the world.

It operates in 35 countries, with over 5,800 stores globally with branches in the Philippines, United States, Canada, People's Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau), United Kingdom, Italy, Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Egypt, El Salvador, Panama, and Malaysia. It has 8 wholly-owned brands (Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan and Smashburger), 2 franchised brands (Burger King in the Philippines and Dunkin' Donuts in certain territories in China), a 60% ownership in the SuperFoods Group that owns Highland Coffee and PHO24 brands.

JFC has investments in Titan Dining LP, the ultimate holding entity of Tim Ho Wan Pte. Ltd. (the Master Franchisee of Tim Ho Wan in the Asia Pacific region excluding Hong Kong); and a business venture with award-winning Chef Rick Bayless to build a Mexican fast-casual restaurant business in the United States. JFC has also recently entered into a joint venture agreement to open Panda Express in the Philippines.

Jollibee Foods Corporation has been named the Philippines' most admired company by the Asian Wall Street Journal for eight years in a row and was honored as one of 'Asia's Fab 50 Companies' by Forbes Asia Magazine.

I don't know.  Jollibee chicken is so damn tasty but I feel sick every time I eat it.  Maybe it's just me or maybe it's just this one location.

Ah.  Jollibee actually owns a number of different restaurants and bakeries, including Chow King, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal (BBQ), Greenwich Pizza, etc.  In the US they own Smashhburger and Coffee & Tea leaf.  If you look at global sales the figures might be for Jollibee Food Corp and not specific to the fried chicken restaurants.

Specific to US operations, I think Jollibee is still very ethnic with palabok, tocino, ube flavors, etc.  They do well in places like Cerritos with large Filipino population.  IMO the chicken joy and gravy is good when fresh.  If you go to a less popular location the chicken that's been sitting under heat lamp for a while is not so good.

Other items like yum burger and halo halo is just... lame.  I expect layers of jackfruit, coocnut jelly and other goodies in my halo halo and they do not deliver.  The spaghetti caters to Asian preference for sweeter sauce.

Someone told me the chow king closed down at the Anaheim location. [jollibee, red ribbon, chow Kong connected together] Way before the pandemic.

That parking lot is chaotic in Cerritos by the market and jollibee. To describe it at best it is like the Diamond and Jamboree parking lot without the nice eateries. (Free for all parking)

In Cerritos, I used to go to the all you can eat Koran bbq Mr Lee?s. That place packed inside and people waiting to get in line. (the price is right)

The Anaheim location by Ranch 99 (Euclid off I-5) should still be open.  I used to order take-out catering from there as it was the closest Jollibee to Irvine office.  I would not order Chow King.

They are still open, but they closed chow king that was connected to Jollibee at that location.
