Denny's freebie hits a Grand Slam

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I think Denny's food is fine... and so do the kids... which is more important.

Do all you IHBers eat only gourmet breakfast food? C'mon... it's pancake, bacon, sausage and eggs... hard to mess that up.

Naw, I like a good old fashoned okie stomp breakfast. Here are two that are better, at about the same (or less!) money.

Plus Benjies and the Mimi's down on 17th.

Well, if you are judging a restaurant based on what kids like, then Chuck E Cheese would be a good place. :-) I understand it is a consideration for you, but it isn't for me since I have no kids.

I don't only eat "gourmet" food, but I don't want to eat 1000 calories worth of food that is just okay. If I am going to splurge calories-wise, it had better be worth it to me. I'd rather just have Raisin Bran for 50 cents than spend $6 on a meal that is just okay and has the calories for 2 meals. I can't even remember the last time I went to McDonald's. There are lots of cheap places to eat, but to me, they aren't worth it.

That connects to the wacky fed govt farm/food subsidies -- making unhealthy food unnaturally cheap.

What, you don't have <a href="http://www.menshealth.com/eatthis/20-Worst-Foods-2009/1_The_Worst_Food_in_America_of_2009.php">this</a> for dessert?

High Gravity....what is that thing ? I'm assuming it's an Asian style breakfast treat ?

And I heart IHOP. Denny's, meh. They used to have a program that hired felons getting released from prison.....the ones that had to work as a condition of their parole. Denny's snaps 'em up cheap, and know they'll toe the line or else it's back to the slammer. I will NEVER eat there in uniform again. Not sure if the program is still in existence.

It is commonly referred to as a "Chinese doughnut" (y?uti?o or y?uhjagw?i), but it is not sweet, like an American doughnut. It is the most common Chinese breakfast food item. Different regions of China have their own regional cuisine and preferred breakfast items but the "Chinese doughnut" is ubiquitous throughout China. It is found everwhere there is a large Chinese population, China, South East Asia, Rowland Heights, etc.
