Common Core vs. STEM

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
My kid really enjoyed the class. He especially enjoyed building and working with the Vex Robotics.

STEAM is not a program financially supported by TUSD. It was strictly parent funded. So, the parents had to fork over a lot of money to get the program up and running. The suggested donation back in 2011 for each STEAM family was $1500.

Don't know what the current suggested donation is now. Should be way less, since the program isn't starting from scratch like back in 2011.

Heritage elementary is TUSD, and is a dedicated STEAM curriculum funded by tusd. Perhaps it's because it's a magnet school?

That makes sense. Happy for all the families that Heritage will finally be opened!
