The trick with iced drinks is to hold out most of the milk until after you've mixed the chocolate and espresso. Living in Seattle, you would think I skip making my own coffee drinks but I have a Krups machine with a steam bar and I enjoy creating new drinks for the wife. When I make any iced drink, I pour the espresso into the cup first, add whatever syrups/chocolate I am using, and a splash of milk, then stir it until blended. Then I add ice and cold milk and send her off to work in our porch garden.

Starbucks coffee is hit and miss, depending on your tastes and what they are serving. Dunkin Donut and MickeyD's have replaced their "bottom of the roasting room floor" brand with actual coffee, but it's not that much better than fresh Folgers.
