So does that mean you are going to continue with the response under the quote route? I love your posts and you will get a big thank you if you say yes :)

Hey Troop, are you doing this to guarantee your top 10 poster standing? Hahaha!

No, I'm trying to figure out the "quote" button...but it only works sometimes for me. That was a practice post...it worked, but I deleted it b/c it didn't have any relevance to this thread.

Anyone else have trouble with the quote button? It only works 1 in 5 times for me. I get the whole thing written, the press "submit post", but it just disappears. I think I'm going to stick to "cut and paste".

Me too. My trick was placing my comments before the quote and worked for me. I was just kidding on your "." post.

Troop, the copy & paste works better for me as well.

bk, what do you think of robert hidey's work. it seems like his firm is most responsible for carrying out the Don's tuscan vision of the ranch.

i still can't get over the staircase. easy access for kids to leave the house without disturbing their parent's pron shoots might be impt in calabasas, but what reason is there for allowing the stucco monstrosity to be added to turtle ridge and talega versions (aside from being too lazy to adjust the plans?)

mgmt at the biltmore must not find it complimentary that historic bldg inspired this...

laing is marketing these tracts as inspired by old hollywood. the irony is you can buy a real hollywood hills estate for much less than the san clemente version!

Apcme - He's discussed Hidey on a couple of occassions. Use the search function. ;-P

Also, you forgot the ultimate amenity of a real Hollywood Hills estate vs. the San Clemente version: ready access to Trooper's professional services.

A creative designers left there several years ago. The firm went from winning 17 Goldnugget awards several years ago down to 1 award potential this year. The one award was also a residual project from the creative designer. All the firm can do now is to milk these plans to the last drop. The original concept was created at Castille at Calabasas. Hidey's empire is gone. The goose who laid the golden eggs is gone. He only has the mould of the egg and cast the eggs out of lead and painting them gold. This is the metaphor I predicted for the recycling of the same plans at TR, Talega, and Crystal Cove. So many projects have been failing at the market place are his "lead egg designs". I will not name locations but you all know where. The sad thing is for this year Bassenian Lagoni will win the grand award for our favorite project Brightwater.

Here is the link for the list of nominated gold nugget awards. www.goldnuggetawards.com The grand awards from each catagory will be chosen from the merit listing. For those who are planning to buy the "lead egg design" drop me a note, PM or start a post and and I will write a full review of the project and send it back to your email.

She will score an "A" on Bkshopr final exam. She has studied every post and memorized all the contents. I am impressed.

Honestly, the only reason I remember is because shortly after BK discussed his opinion of Hidey we went and some some Newport Coast models where the info sheet prominently mentioned them being the architect. I chuckled when I saw that, and of course, the home wasn't that great. (IIRC, while the downstairs was ok, the upstairs flow blew chunks.)

Naw, only the stuff I can bust people for. :P I still have a big dent in my butt from when I (in good faith!) hadn't remembered or didn't know that Nude wasn't a Bush supporter.
