Brea loft auction

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
LOL. Leasing out the work space is against the HOA rules. I smell trouble on the way. I looked into that back when this thread first started. There's also a huge list of things your work space can not be.

Drove by the Lofts Sunday. Every store front except two had "For Rent" on it. Looked like a barber shop and a gallery were the only businesses.

So, if you want to start a business in our down economy, I'm sure you could get a good deal on a unit that fronts the burgeoning Brea Blvd!

(On a sad note, the KFC a few doors down was all boarded-up. I use to go there back when I lived in that hood in the early '70's!)

Next time keep going further up the street.

There?s a lot of turnover in the retail space across from the Yardhouse in the Edwards Theater complex.

Not the big anchors but the small ?boutique? shops.

The Tower Building on the corner is still vacant.

A pinkberry's would probably make a killing for a year or two.

Unlike the Spectrum or The Block, it's not a retail destination, it's a nightly entertainment destination and is overrun with teens. I doubt another bar would survive, but an all age club could make a killing. Provide you figured out how to get their $20 and not generate $40 of expenses from their hassle.

Overall, the main problem is the same challenging the Spectrum, high rents and the majority of the meandering market only has $5-$10 to spend on something, maybe $20 outside of the planned movie, for the entire night.

That's not to say they don't have hordes of money to spend on bigger ticket items, but frankly, that's shopping with mom. 'Downtown' isn't it. And Downtown won't be it until the kids are gone.

Well said, I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Also noticed a severe lack of traffic over at the new retail/urban center across from the Main Place mall in SA.

There?s a McCormicks, Corner Bakery, CoffeBean, Mother?s Market, and Pinkberry.

Not sure if you?ve been over there yet.
