Got our first super blender today from Costco (that was one expensive trip). Blendtec was $300 + tax.  Never thought it would make a difference (just blend longer!), we were Ninja users, and was blown away by our first smoothie.  With the Ninja, always had bits and pieces of kale leftover, but the Blendtec smoothie was pure liquid.  Gonna try making ice cream next.

We use a Vitamix 750.  Wife loves it.  Makes smoothies, ice blended mochas, soups and ice cream.  What made you decide on Bluetec?  I've read that it's fantastic, just curious.

I have a Blentec also. I make my fruit juice/smoothie everyday. The ingredients that I use in my drink are the following: kale, baby carrots, frozen mango, and aloe juice.

For me - It was the price that made me purchase the blentec. It comes with a 8 year warranty with it. I believe the blentec and vitamix are comparable.  :D

I also had a ninja, the quality is not the same as the blentec. (I agree with PS9)

To me it actually taste good. I even got my toddler to drink the blended juice (but I don't blend it with aloe juice because my wife rather be safe and not give our son aloe juice)

The other variable fruits I also use: kiwi, apple, pineapple, strawberry, blueberries ( I mix and match whatever fruits I have)

It's all about healthy lifestyle. Also, I cut the soda (Pepsi coke etc)

Before my lifestyle change, I drank/needed a bottled Starbucks Mocha Frap in the morning at work. But now I just drink my fruit juice, and I'm good to go.

Read up on both Vitamix and Blendtec, pretty much apples to apples comparison.  Was in a buying mood today and the price with instant rebate for the Blendtec made me pulled the trigger.  If Costco had the Vitamix today at the same price, would've taken the Vitamix home.

I don't know that it's the juice as much as it was giving up the caffeine.  I gave up coffees/5 hour extra strengths about 2 or so months ago. The first four days I was dead tired. Then I felt a lot better and noticed I had more energy. The constant caffeine rush during the day and crash at night was just causing me to take large amounts of caffeine again the next morning. Vicious cycle.

Give up coffee?  That's just silly talk.

Who would do such a thing?

You should try it.  If you give up coffee, I'll give up burgers. Wait, what the hell am I saying. Give up burgers, that's just crazy talk

I'll one up you.  I have given up all carbs 6 days / week.  One day / week, i allow myself to have some if choose to, but the only carbs i want are beer.

thats crazy, as much as i love meat (thats what she said) i dont know that i could just eat the burger patty without the bun 6 days a week.

ahhh juicing? so trendy.  those nektar type places are popping up all over the place.  and everyone is cleansing.  I can't get into drinking anything green...

Not juicing, this is fiber, pits, skin, stem, core, all goes into it.

Try the naked juice at costco. If you like the taste, then I would recommend you getting a blender.
