You would be surprised at some of the things done to appease potential problems with numbers for various beliefs.

Sometimes we would not have lot number "666" on a tract map or would jump that number as an address.

effenheimer You may not have a problem with certain things but if the beliefs of a target market of a developer are not respected then the chances of a successful project is diminished. Same if you were marketing a resale home to an area with certain cultural beliefs. You can ignore them but they probably won't buy from you. The builder or seller who understands and respects those beliefs will be more successful than one who doesn't.

Was that number unlucky because it added up to 13?

You can ignore them but they probably won't buy from you

I never said that it doesn't matter. I know that this kind of folly does matter, and that it's pathetic.

Eff - Just buy on one of those Irvine streets named for fameous scientists then and it all should be good. Wait is that superstitious or biased?

Why do realtors insist on the owners not being home during an open house?

Why do so many realtors try to keep you from having any direct discussions with the owners, even if the realtor is in the room?

I skimmed a book on feng shui once and a lot of it was design principles that I learned while majoring in art in college.

Religions have useful beautiful side effects.

Catholicism has Gregorian chant and Gothic cathedrals.

Hinduism has yoga.

Not sure what religion feng shui comes from.

Buddhism has meditation. (Tho I don't think it's a religion actually, but an ethical system with religious practices.)

Etc.

With regards to sharing commission with a buyer, can't that also be one via a cooperating broker agreement with a lower commission accepted essentially in exchange for a lower contracted price?

Since the listing broker is getting a set percentage they may not want to lower the price. The selling broker can ask but it would affect the other end of the deal and they may not want to lower the price but leave the split up to the selling broker and client.
