Apps on sale and recommended

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I don't know the answer to that one.  I'm actually not a big gamer like I used to be.  And my attention span for a game will last at most a few days/weeks.  Then I usually stop playing it for months.  Limited time stops me from playing a lot like I used to.

My kids download all sorts of apps on our phones. A lot of them are not even worth downloading... many of them are of the "Talking [insert animal]" variety, a Build [food] game, a makeup/dressup game, or an Angry Birds wannabe.

Recently my kids, on their own, have found these physics-type games which I think is good for them, these two are similar and made by Chillingo:

Where's My Water
Feed Me Oil

Both have a similar game style where you try to get liquid to an end point using various elements... Feed Me Oil is a bit tougher because you have to place, rotate or even change direction of objects. It's a good way for kids to learn cause and effect.

Another game they just found (again.. how they find it is beyond me), is The Sandbox. The premise is you are a god-in-training and you use various elements to create different things and use them to finish scenarios. Like mixing water and earth to make mud... or using heat on sand to create glass. Not sure about the whole "god" thing... but the puzzles are interesting.

Amazing Alex is out... from Rovio... the Angry Birds people.

It's a physics game so the kids may like it but it might get too difficult.

Sprinkle was installed on the iPads at the Apple store, my kids were playing it and asked me for help and then I got kind of hooked on it.

I find these physics type games very appealing... and Bad Piggies comes out tomorrow... from the Angry Birds people.
