3 story floorplans

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I've seen some 2-story floorplans turn into 3 stories by converting the attaic into a family room. I like them.

The bedroom on 1st floor is useful for older family members who have trouble with stairways (i.e. my grandmother). Preferably I want them next to, or close to a full bath with walk-in shower.

U7000726 is the 3-story plan I was talking about. Is this worth 2500/month in rent?

This is my thought. After a long drive from work. The last thing I want to do is walk up 3 floors to my bedroom to change. Then carry a load of laundry 3 floors down to the washer/dryer on the 1st floor. And lets not forget the vaccuming. I am tire just vaccuming 1 flight of stairs, let alone 3 flights. And I am in my 30's. Imagine this for someone in their late 40's. Geez!

i have a friend who lives in a 3 story condo. the thing i dislike the most about his house is the entrance. as soon as you enter, all you pretty much see is the staircase. of course once you walk up, the rest of the house is perfectly nice and normal - but the entrance sure is unwelcoming.

personally, i wouldn't mind a 3 story home because i enjoy the exercise :) and my cats would love running up and down the stairs. but for older people, the physically-impaired, and guests; having a 3 story home can be rather an inconvenience.

First time poster here.

3 story floor plan actually fits our life style. We want to use the first floor bedroom suite as an office and we don't mind the exercise. We found one at a great location weeks ago, almost made an offer... then we found out the place was already sold the day we saw it. :(

Thanks, CalGal,

We did think about resale ....if we really buy one, we will be living in it for a long time before our knees finally call it quit.

We think it will make a great rental to singles. The one we were interested in has one bedroom w/ bath on each level. It's ideal when you think about privacy.
