These 'groes are born and raised straight outta Compton. There's no where to deport them to, other than the County Jail or Pelican Bay.

I think most people in Irvine live in a bubble world touting Irvine as "safest city in America" when in reality all these blue collar workers doing the construction, servicing etc quickly realize that Irvine is a gold mine to tap into with their theft skills. I thought we only needed to worry about Santa Ana. If the news has spread to Compton we're screwed!

Gates doesn't stop them. (Follow other cars entering the gate)

Good security is like an onion, you want multiple layers of protection. Community gates won't solve all problems but will deter some criminals. Adding a security system, cameras, good lighting, and big dog and the chances of a burglary will go down.

Exactly! It's all about the layers. And at OH from 6pm throughout the night until gates re-open in the am we have security cars driving around the community. And they are actually working since there are many times I'm in and out of the house on call to the hospital at all hours of the night and I see them active almost every time.
The other thing that's helpful is that ALOTof my neighbors have at least 1 person home all day. Either stay at home moms or people with businesses that don't work 9-5 everyday. Even my husband is home all day - he works from home. So That resident presence during the day and people in and out of their house all day is another protection from these low life losers. And a majority have active monitoring security systems. we just cannot put up a signs saying so according to HOA :

Do you outsource your house cleaning service?

not sure how this question is relevant but my house cleaning service is very trustworthy, I've been with them for the past 4 years and never had a problem. And I'm always home when they are servicing my home. I do have a friend who hired a house cleaning service in the valley based on a flyer left at her door. The first cleaning they stole a ton of her jewelry including her wedding band and engagement ring!! So no joke - always check references with any service people coming to the house.
