How about that Irvine Valley Cafe before Lollicup in the corner of that plaza where the Thai Cafe is..  used to go there after my school some some tapioca milk tea and popcorn chicken  :D

You talking about Oshine cafe? If so, they retired but then recently just opened up another Oshine cafe off redhill in tustin. It's almost the same kind of Taiwanese cafe as before.
No I was just talking about Irvine Valley Cafe turning into Lollicup and I used to hang out there with my friends after my class.
Talking about Oshine though, have you been there after it was relocated to redhill spot?  I hope the taste still the same... like their steak on Taiwanese tapan style a lot.

I don't recall the name "Irvine Valley Cafe", I think it was called something else before it became a Lollicup. Like Something Tea House... gah.

Yeah, we went a couple months ago in the summer and it was pretty good. There is so much more Taiwanese style cuisine in Irvine nowadays though so it will be a lot harder for them to compete compared to before. The price is good though, cheaper than Irvine prices IRC.

Wasn't there another place BEFORE lolicup and not irvine valley cafe? I remember all the "cool" kids hanging out there and getting into fights back in the day.

Yeah, I think that's the place I'm thinking of.

So after reviewing this more with my better half, I think that when the Culver/ICD center opened, McDs was not one of the first stores.

We think that McDs is now on the site that used to be the Monterrey Bay Cannery seafood restaurant.

Which also reminds me of a store in that same center that was called Juice and Java, they did those smoothies before Jamba and Juice it Up got popular.

Yep... that's the go to place for a good smoothie before the Jamba Juice/Juice it up chain took over.  Not really relating to this but there used to be a Java City coffee shop where the class 302 used to be now which has good coffee if you are not a big Starbucks fan.
