Yeah, we let our son use the loft as his entertainment room when he has friends over. They used to have to go down to the Great room to watch TV in our older home. Now they can just use the loft, which is conveniently next to his bedroom.

This is why we love our current home. 4 BR (one BR downstairs) with its own bath + powder room downstairs + loft. And the full walk-in pantry is my wife's dream.

Yeah, I think in order to afford $5M+ homes, it would have to be couples that are both highly paid professionals/engineers. I don't think a highly paid specialist doctor with a stay home/normal paid spouse would feel comfortable enough to buy such a home.
